Stitch Marker Count Is Different Right to Left Than From Left to Right - Chunky Blanket With Color Change Logo

I feel like I’m going CRAZY. I’m making a chunky blanket, 190 stitches across. I have counted and counted and counted and counted. I have 190 stitches. I have stitch markers every 10 stitches. when I count right to left, NOT counting the turning stitch but counting the first stitch, the stitch marker is on the 10th stitch. When I count left to right, NOT counting the turning stitch but counting the first stitch, the stitch marker is on the 11th stitch. WHY? help???????? Am I stupid????? I PROMISE, I have 190 stitches and stitch markers on every 10th stitch when going from right to left, I have double and triple verified I am not counting my turning stitch! am I in the twilight zone?? why is this so hard??

I just noticed that this is happening on wrong side. is that why???? do my stitch markers need to be on the 10th stitch on the right side? I still can’t wrap my head around this though!!

I am going to be putting a logo in the center using color changes and I’m worried that the stitch counts being different right to left and left to right will affect the logo???? help!!

Separated from AD and am now retroactively required to do SELRES thanks to the 2023 NAVADMIN. If I could go back in time, I would not join. Everyone said the people would make it worth it and while I’ve met great people, but it was not worth the mental and emotional damage.

The idea of putting a uniform back on for SELRES makes me want to unalive myself. I’m struggling with SI at just the idea of having to be around any Navy again.

How do I pull myself out of this? I’m having a panic attack just writing this post. I don’t want to do this anymore. I want to be done. I hate the Navy, I don’t believe in the mission, I hate myself because of who I’ve become.
