The manga adaptation of the LN of the same name returns (though there's no date for the next chapter as of now) following a 10 month hiatus, after the previous chapter in October last year and volume 3 of the manga released in Japan back in March. There's been no news I've seen regarding the artist's ongoing health issues so I would assume no change on that front.

Even though Comiket is largely a fan run event, some companies have their own booths and as usual Kadokawa's rolling in with a handful of merchandise using Harukawa's art. This time they also seem to have two items by Tomori Adachi, the artist doing the manga adaptation of "Untold Origins". There's also some stuff featuring the chibis of Dazai and Kenji from the Aomori Nebuta Festival this year (a festival that includes parades with lantern floats). On that note, behold the Dazai Nebuta in all its glowing glory (from the BSD official twt account).

The items are sold online through Kadokawa's store (which can only be used through proxy outside Japan), but Amiami's running preorders as well for the November/December release of these items. As of now they don't have images on Amiami so I've taken them from the Kadokawa store listings. All links below are from Amiami.

Unknown until when preorders are open there, but the Kadokawa store closes them on the 25th (Japan time) so I would assume the same. Amiami only charges when they're ready to ship, though do keep in mind you won't know shipping costs until it's time to charge and they ship from Japan. There might be other stores with these but ones I've see charge a lot more and without including shipping either so do be careful with that.

The anime 10t anniversary train doesn't stop apparently and this time it's with an upcoming lottery at Kujibikido featuring some of the characters in semi-casual outfits. Except Tecchou, who doesn't seem to know the meaning of not overdoing it.

Sadly this kind of lottery makes it really difficult to get what you want so it's largely best admired from afar.

This is possibly the most random plush merch I decided to buy, plushie bookmark keychains. Second picture shows the back of Kunikida's head because they didn't need to add his ponytail since it's not visible and yet they did. Third is Dazai's hand bandages and not a single thought in his head (/affectionate).

If anyone's wondering, the text on the bookmark portion is their skill name (and "skill" name in Ranpo's case)

They had announced this one a while back but only now shown a colour prototype. Preorders for this will start on the 6th of August.

The Japanese voice actor is going to attend a 10th anniversary panel at the Anime NYC 2026 convention alongside Chiaki Kurakane, a Kadokawa producer involved with Bungo Stray Dogs. The panel (apparently titled "The legacy of Bungo Stray Dogs) will be on the 21st of August at 12:15 PM and last an hour.

Bungo Therapy returns with a full Day Care episode. (Make sure to watch the ending credits sequence too for extra wholesomeness)

Chapter 113 (Volume 8) - "Bungo Day Care: G-G-Ghosts!"

Dazai's plush has been scrawled on. He threatens the culprit with being visited by a ghost because of misbehaving, which leads the kids to have some... concerns regarding otherworldly creatures.

Chapter 145 (Volume 10) - "Bungo Day Care: The Student Teacher's Attack"

Ango joins the day care as a student teacher, but he's not sure if he's suited for the work.

Chapter 165 (Volume 12) - "Bungo Day Care: The Truth Behind the Shadow"

(This one only got partially adapted, no room for the full thing I guess) The kids become concerned about a possible monster roaming the grounds around the school.

The artist of the manga, Tomori Adachi, actually posted about it around two days ago but thanks to the terrible state of twitter these days I missed it entirely. Beautiful cover as always.

Given the length of the novel and how far along the story is, there should be one more volume left after this. Yen Press has been doing a digital simulpub in English but so far nothing on collected physical volumes (which is a shame because the covers are gorgeous, but maybe there's just not been enough interest so far? No idea).

Apart from the cover, there's also been a reveal of the acrylic keychain with the special edition of volume 3 one can buy at the Japanese Animate stores, which is... shaped like a pair of glasses.

The next episode will release Thursday 30th, and it's going to be a kindergarten chapters one. The summary mentions some of the chapters as usual but there should be one more going off the previous episodes.

Chapter 105 (Volume 7) - "The Laid-back Guild (3)"

Louisa and Francis move into a new place to use as headquarters for the revived Guild. Francis can't wait for her to strategise, and gets sent off to go Shopping For Sales (again).

Chapter 161 (Volume 11) - "We're Real Smart, After All"

Poe receives a mysterious note that takes him to a mansion in the middle of nowhere. He finds some very smart people inside. A not very smart conversation follows.

Chapter 142 (Volume 10) - "Kyo-chan and Mon-chan"

Kyouka asks Lucy to help her go shopping for new clothes.

Some of the ranks are pretty at random since many are equal levels for me (1-2-3 is basically more like 1-1-1). I only hate one character in the entire list

The fourth Wan! 2 episode is set to be mostly Guild centric (to clarify as said in the title, this is just the preview, episodes are out on Thursday). The summary isn't full as with the others, but we know at least part of the chapters to be adapted.

"After moving to their fourth base of operations, the flag for the rebirth of the Guild is raised. However, it seems Francis can't wait for Louisa to write her strategy plan..?

Meanwhile, Poe is guided to an old fashioned Western mansion by a mysterious message. There, he finds a gathering of the most unexpected people."

The preview for part of the third Wan! 2 episode has been released, and it seems it's going to feature at least some amount of Hunting Dogs (wouldn't surprise me if it's all of the episode).

"The 'Hunting Dogs', a special forces unit that takes pride in being the strongest in the military police. 'Failure' has yet to define any of their missions. But, given the target their commander Fukuchi has ordered them to capture this day.....

On another occasion, Tachihara attempts to investigate the weaknesses of his fellow squad members, but....."

I'll delete this later if the situation changes, but if anyone was curious about the official Yen Press translation / hasn't read it yet at all, they seem to have released the English official translation on the Amazon Kindle app as well as Rakuten's Kobo (you might need to change your country at the top if it doesn't autoupdate) for 0 moneys on any currency. Can't tell if it's on that emaqi site as it's US only so I can't access it to check. The other links as of writing this are coming up blank. Update: It's available on Apple Books too now at least in Europe.

No idea if this is intended or not but, yes, the first chapter seems to not have a cost for now 🤷‍♂️
