Delicious lemon cake slices in bakery

My husband buys pastries at a bakery in RI every Sunday and a couple weeks ago picked out a lemon cake slice for $7.99.

Later that day, he stopped at MB to pick up a few things and saw the same lemon cake slices at the bakery. I think they were $4.99/slice. He brought one home for me and it was sooo good.

Does anyone know the name of the lemon cake or where it came from? It was so delicious I want to order it and/or bake it myself. I tried a lemon cake recipe but it wasn’t anything like this.

Thank you?

Hi and welcome Summer Tourists!

Hi! Thank you for coming to visit, you made a great choice! Our coastline and food scenes are unparalleled in New England and we appreciate you appreciating us! We want you to have a great time and enjoy everything we have to offer, we love it when you leave happy!

That said, there are a couple recommended guidelines to help us survive your time here.

  1. Please for the love of Christ keep your bikes off Route One aka Post Road. Some of us live here and actually work and your tribes of 5-9 in neon bright branded tops are unfortunately a serious hazard. The route from Westerly to ‘north of the tower’ [gross] is fraught with entering and exiting U-TURNS and OFF and ON ramps that appear faster then your ability to slow down.

It’s understandable, this is your vacation and the blessing of the fleet and NFF and beach times are very important to you. You paid a lot of money to enjoy these summer times, and we want you to enjoy them. Please do your part to make sure you can get there safely and without hurting others. Stay on the right and be on high alert for merging traffic.

  1. See above.

  2. Don’t wipe us out on yogurt.

  3. Stop cutting locals in line.

  4. We don’t care about how many years you’re been coming to RI. You have to follow the rules.

  5. Stop being wearing VV, LP and gold gladiators.

Thank you! Tip your servers!

If you have a remote, Greater Boston local therapist, check your billing statements.

I was reviewing my statements and discovered my local therapist billed my insurance multiple times for visits that never happened and were not scheduled. As an example, the therapist billed me for a Christmas Eve appointment I would never have agreed to and nothing was scheduled around that time. At first I thought it was an error due to changing my visit frequency but the deeper I looked the crazier it got. Reached out to the therapist and their response was scrambled and didn’t make sense. Their last email to me was at 11:30 last night asking for forgiveness.

I am still working through the statements to see how far back they’ve been billing, this goes back to at least last November.

I’m calling my insurance company today to report this.

If you see a local therapist remotely, check your statements. If your therapist is local to Greater Boston and is currently fundraising for an Ironman competition and also works as a fitness instructor, you might be seeing the same person and getting scammed.

Hummingbird in my garage, how can we help him leave?

UPDATE!! I hung a feeder in one of the doorways and in less than 5 minutes the hummingbird exited! Thank you all for replying so quickly! We keep a partial door open for our senior Samoyed, when she gets hot she likes to cool off on the garage floor. (She also has a baby pool in the shade and we encourage her to come inside but she’s stubborn). We’re going to keep a spare feeder close by in case it happens again. Thank you all again, I really appreciate the help!!

Hi all, we have a seemingly healthy hummingbird in our garage that is flying close to the ceiling but won’t leave. We have both bay doors open. He’s been there for about an hour.

Located in New England, if it matters.

Any help is appreciated!
