I think I might be the only one who likes the Season 5 mugging episode

It felt dream-like and separate from the show. The writing is definitely flawed and of course, Joey-centric.

But it helped me understand the depth that Joey feels about her father at that point in her life. It’s still Joey from Capeside but there’s a maturity she’s achieved or showcased (albeit traumatizing).

The acting was actually great from everyone involved. And it tugged at my heartstrings.

People who complain about people pointing out problems are part of the problem.

It’s almost always socially-unacceptable to be negative about almost anything almost all the time. People who point out problems are seen as negative people.

In the workplace, politics and relationships are valued over system efficiency and fairness. Anyone who points out errors and injustice out are slowly, but surely shunned.

In schools, the bullied are often painted as violent and maladjusted when they finally retaliate against their bully.

In politics, both supporters and neutrals uphold a fully-dysfunctional system and silence dissenting voices in order to maintain a false sense of social order.

In churches, members act like a unit to protect the leaders and the church’s image more than other members that come forward with allegations.

In families, everybody tiptoes around the abuser and punishes the scapegoat for exposing family shame.

On the internet, people shut down posts or comments about problems with systems, industries, people, brands, products and services.

In media, people are quick to dismiss evident stagnation and decline in quality.

In society, people tell you to stop pointing out the obvious about people and encourage you to ignore the signs.

In some ways, these people are worse than the problem itself. They make the problem worse. They prolong the problem’s lifespan before solutions are used. They tend to invalidate any opposition against their deeply-guarded world of “everything’s fine”.

Some things are deeply wrong with the world right now to a level that it hasn’t been in decades but even that is unpopular with these groups of people. They’ll tell you the world and people have been the same throughout history. And that it’s the best and safest time to be alive right now.

I’m conflicted about this swap offer

I’m selling my 15 Pro Max and a guy with good rating is offering to swap his S26 Ultra.
He was honest enough to tell me that he bought it off the marketplace and he’s been using it for a three months. It lines up because three months ago, his seller profile shows he sold off his iPhone.

My worry is that he’s not the OG owner of a current-year model phone that may or may not have been purchased under a 24-month carrier contract. If the original owner stops making payment or reports it as stolen, the phone becomes blacklisted. There’s also a chance that the OG owner bought it using a stolen credit card which is a common fraud tactic.

It’s a tempting offer but I don’t know if I want to take the risk. The S26 is newer and more expensive than my 15 Pro Max. The catch for the straight swap is he’s not the original owner.

I live in Canada if that helps.

Any advice?

Got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out 5 months ago. It’s subtle but there’s change

In the after photo, I tried to recreate my old smile because that’s not how my face would naturally contort anymore. I noticed it’s more of an upward u-shaped smile now. My bite has also shifted slightly and my jawline has narrowed a bit.
