I'm a 60yo SSDI recipient. I will be 61 in two weeks.

I won my SSDI claim with help of a lawyer in end of 2022. It took 2 yrs 8 months to win. I got breast cancer in the middle of it.

I've been on SSDI for 3 1/2 years. Last year, after turning 60, in Aug 2025 I started working PART-TIME for a elder care agency. I had to go thru several months of training in fall 2025 to get my certification.

I contacted the federal (D.C.) number for SSDI to tell them I was working part-time and they said to report it on the website. Okayyy ... It then took about a month for them to list my current employer on the income page.

I was allowed to enter 2 paystubs on the website and that's it. The site refused to let me upload paystubs after that. I got a letter from the local Social Security office saying I was now enrolled in the "PIE" program so Social Security was getting my pay info directly from the IRS. Fine. Great. All good.

Out of the blue, on Friday I got a SSA-821-BK Work Activity form from the local office. Okayyy ... What happened to the "PIE" 'we have your wage info' thing? I thought SSA and IRS were closely tied, shared info and SSA could get my quarterly income info any ol' time they want.

I started to go over my paystubs (I have them all saved as PDFs) and realized that because of the training for certification hours I went over my weekly or monthly hours. There were times when I should have been working like 3 hrs a week plus 5 or 10 for training. Instead it looks on the stubs like I worked 48 or something for one pay period.

Finally, when my training was finished in Dec 2025 and I'd passed the 2 state exams, the agency paid me all at once after deducting the $850 for the training/certification program. The gross wasn't that much, like $400 or $500 for that one pay period.

Anybody else gone thru or going thru a similar situation?

Any pointers on the form?

Any CRH around here? Where do you go to get yours?

The last time I was in the downtown library, I had to scan 2 documents and it was a pain in my ass. I did get it done but the devices they're using (these weird Apple-based enlarger things) were overkill.

Where can I find a place where I can make good old fashioned B&W copies on a scanner/copier for like 10 cent each?

The last time I was in FedEx it was like .67 or 87 per scan. Ditto at Staples on Division.

Do they still have 'normal' copier machines at the Hawthorne library up in north town?

Has anybody on here been able to pay for holistic MD to check for mold toxins, heavy metals, any other environmental stuff?

Did you get any answers that jibed with thr CFS?

I have noticed strong increase in my fatigue since beginning of this year.

I'm on Rx vitamin D which has helped but couldn't figure out why still tired.

Watched YT yesterday talking about B vitamins including B-6 so just bought a bunch and took my first 200mg. Also got zinc supplement. Going to try this for week see what happens.

I've renewed my driver's license online as many times as I can, expires in 2026. I drove to the Country Homes office a couple weeks ago, stood around with a bunch of people and then was told at 9am 'if you don't have an appointment, we can't see you.'

Fine. Went home and tried to schedule an appointment. Four times on their effing site.

Have called their office 4, 5, 6? times and can't get thru to schedule.

I guess it's time to call my state rep's office?

A friend/coworker of mine just told me something this morning and my jaw is still on the floor at what this guy did to her.

To preface, I am an older GenX (60/born 1965) and my friend is about 63 so just the top end of BabyBoomer generation. She is the opposite of me physically, tiny, 5'1" about 115 pounds. She looks about 45 and looks great but is disabled because of a traumatic injury 10 years ago. She is ambulatory and can walk, talk, etc. but can't work because of a serious neurological thing which can cause deadly seizures.

She broke up with an emotionally abusive live-in BF in February who she had been with for about 10 years. Previously, she was in a long-term marriage with a guy and has 5 grown kids by him. Ex was also emotionally, and even physically, abusive.

So she moved into a new place sans BF and immediately started dating. I'm tempted to say some of what happened with this most recent freak is her fault but I'm not going to fall into the victim blaming trap.

She met 'Jeff' on FB Singles a few months ago. They exchanged a couple of text messages and she met someone more interesting so started going on coffee dates with the more interesting one.

Jeff persisted in texting her and she finally met him IRL for coffee. They hit it off and did a little kissing in his car. She said he was attractive and, though he is good looking, he's NOT Brad Pitt.

They spent over a week together, going on gym dates, hiking, more coffee, I guess there was one bar-n-grill meet up. He told her he can't stand pets (dogs/cats) and she has a pitbull mix.

So 12 days into this dating honeymoon, he called her one day and just dropped verbal bomb after bomb on her.

1. He is retired from the military and lives on that comfortably. He has zero interest in 'ever supporting any woman.' He asks her if she's aware that if she marries again she will lose her disability? She says she is aware and has no desire to marry again.

2. He tells her he had a background check done on her and knows how long she's been disabled and how much she gets per month. (Apparently this is the new online dating thing?!!!) He even found out how much her ex husband pays in alimony.

3. He decides her being 10 years older than him, even though she doesn't even look it, is a problem.

4. He then tells her she will probably die alone and poor as 'no guy is going to want to take on you as a financial burden.'

She listens to his soft-spoken rant for a while and then hangs up when he does. She blocked his number.

Personally, I would have hung up way, WAY before that.

My question is: aside from the 'rape academy' thing is there a Negging website I don't know about? Are there sites for men to go to discuss dating women just to mind fuck them and then try and emotionally 'own' them???

Finally, I'm so, so glad I'm done with dating. I have CPTSD and would not survive this kind of emotional abuse.
