Finished this today. World of Flowers. Primarily Prismacolor pencils. Some

From J Basford’s 2026 weekly calendar- variously called the art room or the origami room. Just finished coloring it. Still have some blending and touching up to do.

I had an unusually hard time choosing colors for this one. Maybe it’s our unseasonably cool and cloudy weather

Started it and it stared at me from the dining room table. This morning it pulled me over and put pencils in my hands.

Window sunset colors a first for me. I’m glad I didn’t take the easy way out and do storm clouds despite only needing to look out the window for a reality reference.

There was too much negative white space in the picture with a white floor and ceiling. So I drew the wood floor and put a barely there gray wash on the ceiling to soften the picture and try to make it look like it wasn’t floating in space.
