ik MBB1 last sem was in the 3rd week of exams. I assume it’s bc being an mcq test it’s easy for them to put it right at the end cuz it doesn’t require marking. reckon mbb2 will be then as well? anyone ever had it earlier in the exam period. I do chem and bio so I feel those might be at the start then I’ve got a long two weeks until psyc. kinda want to go home early…. i also don’t really need two whole weeks of studying for jsut one subject would be a bummer. but yeah anyone with past experiences?

I’ve got what I think is a competitive score and I jsut wanna know how long I should take for prep. Or how long it takes to have okayish interview skills. I’m not the super extroverted type of person so I think it’ll take me a little longer but any advice? I’m also quite busy now as I’m a first year uni student with quite a heavy workload this sem. im also hoping for UNSW if anyone Can tell me about the panel process and how it was although I understand if u guys can’t comment on that part. this is my first time studying anything psychology related. just wondering what methods people thought were useful to study. I find that theres a lot of stuff to remember but it is surface level just a lot. do people find flashcards are useful in this subject?

do you guys have online lectures for medicine avaliable if I can't attend in person? also how does a first year medicine timeatble look like. provided I get in, I kind of have a prior engagment in the last three days of the first week of uni and im worried about if that would be super detrimental to my grades or learning. also im a bit confused when start date is. UAC says 8th of feb but the UNSW webstie says 15th is when teachign period starts?

are u guys noticing if the scores this year seem to be higher or there’s more higher scores or about the same jsut curious

sure it gets higher suppsoedly each year but how high can it really go. there won’t be a year where everyone’s jsut getting full marks on everything 😭

I’m planning to apply for med and I’m in my first year of uni. I got a ucat of 2420. atar 99.5 and gpa currently 7. I’m not sure if it’s true but I heard gpa of 7 doesn’t always convert to 99.95 but unsw takes either ur atar or ur gpa whichever is highest. so will scats apply to my gpa after its been converted to an atar and make it like 99.95 or will it apply to my atar and move that from 99.5 to 99.95. either way do u think im safe for an interview

most other unis their high distinctions are 85+ whereas ours is 80. not complaining bc it makes it easier for me to get a 7 gpa cuz im aiming for med (or so I feel it’s easier, standards at unimleb may be higher idk). but anyone know the reason why we use 80?
