Unsure where I'm making the mistake here, but this is the problem I'm facing. I don't even know where to start, but on paper everything should be as it needs to be.
Y'all dump thousands of hours into ESO and you know damn well that the combat doesn't have any weight and is clunky as hell. God forbid you may have to practice the combat for a few hours to get a handle on how to play the game. God. Forbid.
Y'all dump thousands of hours into FFXIV and that game had to re-launch to get to a state where the team could be proud of it and make it what it's become today. God forbid a company tries to make their game successful and reiterating it with better ideas. God. Forbid.
Gloria Victis has some sick systems too. I haven't even scratched the surface trying to understand or pursue them.
Nine very detailed Character Progression panels that have nothing to do with combat. Very cool.
Five systems of crafting that look to keep players busy for a long time.
Also, it's free you guys. Sure they have a subscription fee, but I can very well say that most MMORPG players are 25+, so you can afford ~$15/mo.
This game feels like Ultima Online.
This game feels like what Shroud of the Avatar could've been.
This game feels like what Pax Dei could've been.
This game needs a few tweaks. This game needs some love poured into it. But it's not as bad as you guys make it seem.
Does it ruin the fidelity? Make it easier? Lose the Classic charm?
I don't see how this wouldn't make the game better, but I know there are some purists out there.
Wildstar, if you don't recall, was a game that everyone shit on at the time since most people in this community will never be satisfied by any amount of work or effort that a studio puts in. Years later, it is praised as something people miss and falsely reminisce fondly upon.
Now that Camelot Unchained is a laughing stock, some people here are magically realizing that Ashes of Creation actually had some bones to it. This is the same as New World, and it's actually quite fascinating watching people in this sub trick themselves time and time again. It's like people are stuck in a cycle of demand, discontent, destruction, and even more demand.
Imagine decades of creative ingenuity in the true-sandbox, live-in-a-world MMORPG instead of a you-are-the-hero, endless forgettable quest chains, and skip-to-end-game philosophies.
I'm not saying World of Warcraft is bad. I think the problem is that the original World of Warcraft has more content and cohesive flow than any MMORPG that has ever come after it, save for a few that have strong enough IPs to compete (FF, GW, ESO). Interestingly though, all three of those MMOs follow the same flow.
Hey all, looking for a Weak Aura that you've had success with that does what I described in the title. I don't want audio, as I already have that and it doesn't help as much as I think it could.
