Science fiction military Ifs?

I realise this is pretty specific, so I'll take any recs even if they don't fit the bill, or are not on cog. Any books where you play as a soldier/officer in the military, preferably based in the modern or sci-fi world?

I've played Whiskey Four and enjoyed it a lot, and I've also played The Operative. I'm currently having a look at Officer of the Fleet and War of 2022. Id appreciate the help, thanks 🙏🙏

Songs with vocals similar to the start of butchers vanity?

I'm sorry if this is kinda a nothing post, but I adored how flavor foley made yi xi sound in the first verse of butchers vanity, kind of like a soft but deep, relatively masculine voice. Any vsynth songs with those kind of vocals would be so so appreciated, thanks 🙏.

Queer AI/Human relationships?

Lads I recently read The Death I Gave Him by Em X Liu, it was so good I read it in one day, staying up till 2am to finish lol. I would love any recs you guys have that include a relationship with a human and ai (preferably MLM as I'm a gay dude, but this is a tiny subgenre so I'll take what I can get lol), I don't care how crazy the book is.

Two things though are that I dislike books with too much sex scenes in them. If it's two or three that's fine, I'll just skip that but please don't recommend anything too racy lol. Secondly I'd love if the ai didn't actually have an android or human body (for at least part of the book, I know I'm being very specific lol), and was instead a computer or a ship or something. Thanks!

I'll keep this short but I was wondering if there's anyone else out there who, try as they might, cannot see ai chats as fulfilling. I'm generally a pretty lonely person and ai would be a great way for me to find friendship. The only problem is, is that I see the tells ai has, even realistic ones. I can always tell I'm talking to a bot who's only job is to keep me happy, which straight up stops me from forging a connection.

I guess I should be grateful I'm immune to ai psychosis but tbf if even ai isnt for me I worry for my loneliness in the future lmao 💔. Everyone else seems to see their ai chats as "scarily real" but I'm out here wondering if there's anyone who can't relate to that. Is this the majority of the population, or the minority?
