Just a fan-made mockup I threw together for fun! I wanted to see how Silver would fit into Sonic Pico Park, if he were to be added to the game.
and btw, the japanese text on the character select screen translates to "can hover"
reuploaded cuz i had to fix an error in the thumbnail
Since SEGA just announced that Cream and Cheese will be joining Sonic PICO PARK as their new addition to the playable roster and even Big the Cat as a character that can be swapped out, mid level, who would anyone like to see become playable in the game next, following Cream?

Sega has confirmed that Sonic Pico park will be having 3 more Sonic characters, although they have yet to be revealed. so that's why i'm here to discuss and share my opinions on who they think they could possibly be.
i've noticed that hilda and kirby have quite a few similarities, so I thought it'd be fun to compare their characters!
i grew up with kirby, so the series has a pretty nostalgic place in my heart. interestingly, hilda gives me a weird sense of deja vu despite discovering it much later. it has a cozy, imaginative feeling that reminds me of the kinds of things I enjoyed growing up.
both are also series which are underrated and have yet, very positive fanbases and cozy vibes. i really like hilda's beautiful storybook art style and kirby's colorful, charming designs, so putting the two together felt like a really fun idea!
these aren't all meant to be exact equivalents; some are based on personality, roles, themes, or visual similarities.
not every character is included. some didn't have a counterpart I could think of, while others I may have simply forgotten. I also wanted to include magolor, but couldn't find a hilda character who felt like a good match.
what do you think of these comparisons? Do you have any other pairings you think would work? i'd love to hear your ideas!
Just try not to stretch the comparison logic too far. 😂
Here's an early look at Super Slamdown, an indie platform fighter featuring an original cast of fighters created by me and other creators!
Super Slamdown focuses on fast-paced movement, precise controls, combos, and a high skill ceiling for players who want to push their skills and master their fighter.
Super Slamdown is currently in development, with more fighters, features, modes, and content planned for future updates.
Note: The recording quality isn't the best due to my current recording settings. The footage itself is from the game in development.
Follow Super Slamdown on Game Jolt for development updates and future releases!
And before anyone asks, no, i'm currently not taking submissions for new characters, but i am open to feedback!

Silver's confused about why he's often considered to be Waluigi's counterpart in Mario's world. and even Waluigi is confused about this, too.

Sonic's challenging Tangle to a friendly race. She knew she probably wasn't going to win, but she isn't gonna stop from trying her hardest, with Sonic encouraging her every step of the way.

These are the pairings I felt worked best based on character roles, themes, personalities, story functions, or overall franchise significance. Not every character has a perfect 1:1 counterpart, so some matches are stronger than others.
The Elite Trio/Chaotix comparison was actually inspired by a suggestion from a commenter on Part 1. I hadn't considered it originally, but I ended up liking how well the team dynamics lined up.
Goomba was originally paired with Egg Pawn in part 1, but after some feedback, I decided Motobug was a better fit as Sonic's basic starter enemy.
Feel free to share which pairings you agree or disagree with, or suggest alternatives, I enjoy seeing different perspectives.
see part 1 here.
reposed cuz i forgot character when i initially posted this.

i remember seeing a mario to sonic comparison post before and thought it was a fun idea. and since that post is archived now and can no longer be interacted with, I wanted to make my own version with some of my own pairings and explanations. These are just my personal interpretations based on character roles, personalities, story themes and more.
are their any comparisons you do or don't like? or what would you change? feel free to share your opinions, as well as your own ideas in the comment section.
and once more ideas come to me, then i'll drop a part 2
btw, if a character isn't here, it doesn't mean i forgot them. either I couldn't find a match that felt right, or i'm still thinking about em. i may revisit those characters in part 2 or even later posts.
Reposted with a few corrections and additions.

Following my prior posts of matching sonic characters with sodas, i've decided to do the same thing with mario characters and turning them into candies.
