I hate cleaning my teeth every day, so I've had an idea

I just hate this twice daily chore. With a passion.

I've figured out that for every ten years I've been alive I've done this so many thousands of times.

So I'm now thinking of setting aside a whole day where I just brush my teeth a thousand times and that can do me for another year all in one go.

Hah.

DAE get everything ready for the morning before they go to bed?

I'm in my early 60s now, but I've realised that I've done this my entire life.

Before I go to bed I get everything ready for the morning down to the last detail. Work clothes, tick. Shower items, tick. Kettle full and teabag in mug, cereal put in bowl and covered with clingwrap ready for milk.

Anything I need to remember to take to work put in the car so I don't forget it.

Just cottoned on this morning that's the autism in me. I may not have been diagnosed til recently, but hey I've been autistic my whole life.

Foods should not touch, especially foods I don't want on my plate

I went out for breakfast with my husband. I specified 'no egg', but yeah it came with an egg. Husband said just to remove it, but I couldn't. I just couldn't even though it would have been the sensible thing to do.

My breakfast was spoiled, and in the end he could see I was really distressed & he sent it back with a sigh.

This was undiagnosed me. Now post diagnosis, and many flashbacks later, I can see this was an autism moment.

DAE experience physical pain when you think you might have said something incorrect or unhelpful without meaning to

I was talking to one of the gardeners at the block of units the other day, and I was trying to give him a heads up there might be a problem with parking, because someone had told me that.

Then after he left I thought it was really unnecessary for me to say that, and also my info might have been wrong.

Most people I think would have left it there, and just thought I did what I considered right and helpful, but it gave me physical pain to think about it. I worried about it all evening and woke up early the next morning overthinking it, and when I went out for breakfast with a friend it was like there was a physical pain in my stomach, a knot of worry about it

I'm guessing this is my autism? Ouch.

I haven't had a very successful life

I'm in my later years. I look back and see failed relationships and rifts and times when I could not keep things together. Even this last week I have fallen out with someone at my volunteer job - I have bent over backwards to be accommodating to them but it's all become too much and I've told them I don't like the way they publicly praise others who get things wrong but blame me who has only ever tried to do my best.

I don't feel that my life has come to much. I don't know if this is all down to my autism or not, but it certainly hasn't made life easy for me
