Media Expert shipped my €1,300 iPhone 17 Pro like this. Customer support says it was packed “according to company procedures.
I recently ordered an iPhone 17 Pro (worth around €1,300 / ~$1,500) from Media Expert in Poland.
This is how it arrived: the original Apple box was placed inside a much larger shipping box without any bubble wrap, paper, airbags, or other filler. The phone had plenty of room to slide around during transport.
I contacted customer support because I couldn’t believe such an expensive device would be shipped this way. Their response was that the package was prepared according to their internal procedures and that the empty space inside the box “does not automatically mean the product was insufficiently protected.”
I’m currently testing the phone to make sure it wasn’t damaged during shipping, but I honestly find this unacceptable for a device of this value.
Am I overreacting, or would you also expect a $1,500 phone to be properly immobilized inside the shipping box?
