3 Tales of Horror by H.P. Lovecraft. 1967 limited edition published by Arkham House.

I was bought this as a birthday gift years ago and until recently had no idea of its rarity. A beautiful book with some lovely illustrations. Does anyone else own this edition?

Anyone Going To Try The New Bridge On The 27th?

Just what I said—is anyone going to make a special effort to be one of the first to cross the GHB?

Weird War Tales #60 (1978)

Another Weird War Tales I just picked up. This is issue #60 with an awesome cover with a dirigible or blimp on the cover with what appears to be UFO’s also. Looks to be set in WWI.

New Archaeological Findings Suggest Very Early Domestication For Pigeons

Archaeological findings from Cyprus indicate that people may have had domesticated pigeons prior to 1600 BC. Not just going out and grabbing wild pigeons--pigeons that were cultivated and cared for by human beings.

PLOP! - DC COMICS - 1973-1976

Featuring cover monsters by Basil Wolverton & later by Wally Wood & more art by Sergio Aragonés - Plop! was DC’s attempt at creating a MAD magazine esque book to ride some of the sick/humor resurgence in the 70s. They even used a bunch of artists that had or currently wrote for MAD - but this comic couldn’t decide if it was a humor book or a horror book, the first issue featuring a Bernie Wrightson comic & stories were introduced by a trio of horror hosts (evoking the old EC books with the Crypt Keeper, Old Witch & Vault Keeper). If I’m remembering correctly the hosts were used in older DC titles like House of Mystery & in later titles like sandman. Anyhow, I love this book, but it sold really poorly & DC canned it after a few years.
