Hangman’s Alley the ultimate veranda
Configuration: Xbox X, no mods, Fo4 + Anniversary Edition, Very Hard mode.
Goal: Create a central base with onsite income/retail.
Location & Design: Hangman’s Alley, single level off-ground living quarters with an outside veranda and strong defence.
Status: New build, limited resource and crafting capabilities.
I’ve said in previous posts, I always take Hangman’s Alley before Preston sends me, usually triggered by dealing with raiders in Back Street Apparel.
Once the raiders are cleared out, I clear existing buildings and junk away, and the building starts with steel-steps and wood floors, steel-posts, warehouse walls and a concrete post for positioning the base floor. I keep adding floor blocks, then jiggle position until it’s in the perfect spot. Patience is required and time. It’s worth the effort, trust me.
I like verandas, which you may have seen in earlier builds. Somewhere to sit and ponder the carnage of my efforts in the Commonwealth. So this build has a full wrap-around veranda on three sides that I’m quite pleased with. It will look cool once decorated and lighting installed.
I also decided to have a fully raised area from the west entry steps. This will have minimum planting beds for three settlers and a single farmer.
Ultimately, I will have two shops, general and weapons, which makes it easier to grab some cash. I handpick the settlers from other settlements, and I’ll give them decent armour and weapons.
So this is just the start and I’ll upload a video once it starts to be fully decorated.
