Dlc's?

How much would you people recommend that I get the dlc's, and in which order? I feel like 5€ for just one area seems kind of excessive, but if it's actually very very good, I might try!

Also is it normal I still don't know where to access queen content and Castlevania areas once I get them.. ?

Forge upgrades?

I entered the 4th boss cell and started grinding towards forge upgrades, but I started wondering if those would actually carry over to no boss cells?

I don't really like boss cells, so I figured out I would finish up to the, 4th, grind the forge and go back to 0 cells to have fun, but I realized I hadn't checked if the forge limit in lower cells just prevented you from buying forge upgrades or if they also nullified any upgrade past the cap... If that's how it works I'll probably just spend less time in the higher cells.

Promenade of the condemned is (emotionally) the hardest area..

I am guessing that this is talked about a lot in the community, but this area really is wonderfully made.

For some reason, it feels both like the saddest and deadest area, but also the most hopeful and comforting...

It is full of scars of cruelty, hopelessness and loss while also carrying a tone of acceptance and healing, and that despite all of the horrors and pain that have occured in these woods, leaving permanent imprints, the place is still there, and the cycle of life continues, even though it is hindered by the unforgettable traces of brutality and depression.. it feels like the area itself has undergone a crippling trauma and developed an empathy and an understanding of suffering from living on through it for however long time has gone by since, which has allowed it to keep it's softness and it's innocence despite everything...

The corpse of the prisoners still bear the violence that was inflicted upon them as well as the passage of time through decay, but seem very peaceful now, as if as nature developed and kept evolving in these ruins , their spirits also detached from their past misery to find peace and bask in the newfound calmness of the place to finally find comfort and warmth in the gentle embrace of the regrowing forest..

That's also what the music evocates to me, the gentle acceptance and reassurance of a shoulder to cry on and the promise of silent support and otherworldly resilience to keep going forward and attain a state of peace of mind even though it feels impossible or too difficult... A promise that the past will bring hardship and hurdles, but that by going slowly and listening to oneself, it is possible to find tenderness, happiness and resolution in spite of them... That there is always hope for something else than pain

I cried the first time I found the hung prisoner, and am on the border of tears as I'm writing this, as well as each time I hear the theme song... I think it's the first time a game has managed to touch me this much with nothing but it's bare background...

I don't know if it's a common experience or if it only really resonates that much with people who are themselves dealing with the long term ripples of markingly painful times, but this area as a whole makes me feel listened to and supported in a way that nobody in my life has really been able to replicate so far...

Are there trans swimming pools?

I really like swimming, but I haven't been able to in years because I'd feel terrible showing my body in the middle of tons of strangers, and I feel like it would attract tons of unwanted attention.

I feel like I could feel enough at ease to have a decent time if I was surrounded by people who are more like me and would actually understand... Are there any establishments like this..? I live in France, so American places wouldn't really suit me, but with the confirmation that this kind of place actually exists, I could look to see if there is any close enough to where I live...!

I'd really like to feel what it's like to swim again without any of the dysphoria and social pressure..

Is it close to shovel knight?

Hello, I finally gave a shot to the Shovel knight games and found every single campaign amazing, the characters, music visuals and especially the gameplay all feel extremely special.

I have been meaning to try more of what this developer team had made, and found that this was their recentmost game. I've only played a few games like this one, including the binding of Isaac, and I don't know if it's realistic for me to expect the game to still retain everything I love from shovel knight despite the huge difference.

If it does, I would really love to play it!

I'm having a hard time..

I've played the game a bit, and I think I'm still in the tutorial parts since I don't really lose unless I throw voluntarily, but I'm having issues with mentally keeping up with the battles...

I feel like clashes go so fast I don't have time to understand any of what's happening, and at the end I'm not always even sure if things turned out positively or not and I feel like I have no way to track the damage I'm dealing and taking, which is worrying for when the game gets actually difficult..

It's a bit hard to figure out the impact of my cards and actions, but so far, it's working about well...

Also I'm on steam deck and the game is a little blurry, so a lot of the cards' text is very difficult to make out mid fight..

Does anyone have suggestions regarding those issues...?

I'm interested in this game

I heard about this game yesterday in a video, and thought it seemed very interesting.

I have previously been intrigued by lobotomy corp, but never really played it since I personally really don't like gestion games and builders, so hearing about a deck builder taking place in the same universe got me very interested.

Would you suggest I give it a try or would the lack of lobotomy corp knowledge and context cripple my experience?

I'm finally finishing with high school so I'll have more time to spend on games from now on, so I figured I should consider it ^^
