Relationship advice and how to convince my family
Okay so im a 20 yrs old girl (Sindhi) and i have been talking to a guy (punjabi) since a year and i really love him. We both used to study in same school and he is uni rn … so my sisters found out that i have been talking to him and im really serious about him… all of my sisters are married or engaged… i am the youngest sister. So they got really mad at me when they found out abt him… they told me that our father will never allow me to marry someone who is not from our cast and there is no chance that he will let me marry a punjabi.
I recently got a proposal from my chachu ka beta which i rejected … my father got disappointed that i rejected his brother’s son.
I cant imagine myself marrying someone else … i really love this guy and hes serious abt me too but he cant send a proposal rn as hes just a student and doesnt earn so his parents wont talk to my parents until he is settled.
This guy’s mother also talked to my elder sister (Shes married) and told her that when her son will get settled she will talk to my mother but till then i have to wait for 3-4 years
I’ve been trying to explain him that he doesnt need to be financially stable and settled just for a commitment… i just want to be engaged with him so that we are officially committed.
I know my father wont accept his proposal but i cant marry anyone else either …. I have planned my whole future with him and i fear losing him so much thats why i just want to be formally committed to him.
My sisters are not letting me talk to him they keep checking my phone and they have warned me if they caught me talking to him again they will tell our father … my father is really strict and im very scared of him cuz i know if he gets to know abt this he will beat me.
Idk what to do .
