The title says it all. I'm curious who (if anyone) else here put in a Stage 1 order during the run and is still waiting on their Headless Kyber. There can't be very many of us left at this point.
I think this one will stick around for quite a while.

So I wired up my new board with both the Suhr Eclipse and Electronic Audio Experiments Halberd. And then I realized that my favorite mid gain setting in the Eclipse sounded a LOT like the Halberd. So I dialed in the Halberd to try and match them and they are flat out identical. To where when I had my wife switch between them I couldn't tell which was which.
So then I tried to dial in the Dagger to match my higher gain setting on the Eclipse. After a lot of tweaking I can get it close but not exact, with the toggle in the down position and pretty extreme EQ. The Dagger is always a bit thinner with better string separation and the Eclipse is always a bit fuller and more "congested" sounding.
But overall I'm just surprised that pedals with such different design philosophies and topologies can get such similar sounds.
Not where I thought I'd end up. Went from a MUCH more experimental board to something very traditional, for lack of a better word. But it works for me.
I think it turned out alright . . .
It sounds like the Stage 1 builds from the Kyber Headless run just started shipping. Which means I'll get my guitar from the run before I get the A2 I ordered 2+ months earlier.
Minor tweaks to the first board. The second hasn't changed in over a year, which may be a record for me.
