Has anyone had this? I've had the oura ring for 6 months and usually it's been accurate, but last 2 days it keeps saying I had minor now major symptoms. Only thing I can think if is my period is about to start and the 1-2 days before it are very rough for me. But it's never tracked them before...

Going on vacation for a week & planning to put starter in the fridge, but never have. Can I put it in the fridge after it's last feeding when it already peaked but hasn't dropped yet? Or when is the best time?

Starter is established and triples every day after feeding.

I usually feed at 8pm 1:2:2 ratio after I get from work and dinner duties. By the time I see it in the morning around 8am it has already passed peak, but hasn't dropped yet. Usually drops around 11am-12pm. Not sure when it peaks because by the time i see it at 7-8am it's already past peak.

Forgot to post my 1st sourdough boule in the Riviera bread oven🩵 It was a success! I've used this bread oven twice weekly for different bread types since getting it and it's such a joy.

My first boule and it's delicious!🥰🥖 Do the big holes mean underfermented? What's your advice?

I did 100g starter, 390g water, 510g flour, 10g salt. Used King Arthur bread flour. Mixed and let sit for an hour, stretch & folds, another half hour, stretch and folds, another half hour, stretch and folds, let sit for 3.5 hours and then shaped and put into banneton into fridge overnight

Had some leftover cabbage that needed to be used up, so I made some Eastern European comfort food - Cabbage and Kielbasa🥘😋

I didn't really follow a recipe, but here goes:

  1. Diced 1 onion & shredded 1 carrot

  2. Heated up some oil in the staub on medium high heat & added them in, stir and cook for a 4-5 minutes

  3. Cut up and stirred in the kielbasa, let it cook for 3-4 minutes

  4. Cut up and stirred in half a head of cabbage, salted and added a few tablespoons of water. Reduced heat to medium low

  5. Put lid on and let it cook for 15 minutes

  6. Added ~2tbsp of tomato paste. My previous water completely evaporated so I added 2-4 more table spoons. Added black pepper and bay leaf, stirred.

  7. Put lid on and cooked for 30 more minutes

Notes:

  1. I used the 7qt, but honestly if you have a 5qt that would be enough for just half a cabbage head.

  2. The cabbage is very voluminous when it goes in (on picture 3), but reduces to very little, so if you want to make more than 4 portions you'll want to double the amounts and stick to a 7qt.

Bolster or no Bolster - specifically on bread cutting tool? Don't know enough to understand if it really matters for bread tool vs chef one, figured someone here will know for sure

Blue Riviera Bread Oven

Caribbean Blue Bowl and Mug

Deep Teal Mini Cocotte

I know I really wanted to see the color comparison of these 3 tones when thinking whether I should add Riviera, so maybe it would help someone else🩵
