What if… Nintendo offered Glitch a chance to turn Meggy into an Inkling again?
I know it’s far fetched but Let’s say hypothetically in the future Nintendo regretted their decisions on the lawsuits to fans and decided to become more friendly for their consumers. They decided to adapt their IPs into animated projects and they chose Splatoon because it didn’t have one yet. However a Nintendo exec saw Glitch due to the popularity of TADC and acknowledged that it also explored the Splatoon IP.
Nintendo execs would see Meggy as the perfect choice for the animated Splatoon project. Splatoon series due to her popularity and association with animation and Splatoon. They told them about why they change her design as they felt it didn’t feel right. Glitch told them its due to Nintendo’s strict protection back then, Nintendo told them afterwards they were sorry and they gave them the offer to legally revert Meggy into an Inkling again, allow them to adapt the Splatoon IP and give them creative freedom on the animated project. How will Glitch react? Will they accept or decline?
Why are everyone against the idea of Glitch producing projects targeted to 7+ or G (General Audiences)?
I discussed that I felt that Glitch should make some projects rated G or 7+ because out off all projects Glitch produced they made projects targeted to teens and adult but not kids yet.
Now don’t get me wrong, I believe Glitch could possibly make a G rated project without ruining the brand, look at Don Bluth Films from the 80s and even Bambi, they both have elements of Dark and Grittier themes that Glitch used.
On the other side, if Glitch were to produce cartoons rated 7+ I bet they will mimic how Nick and CN did in the 90s and 2000s.
However, I think it’ll be the best if Glitch were to produce a label for that demographic to protect their brand sort of like how Disney used Touchstone.
However everyone rejected the idea of Glitch producing content for that demographic? Why? How will they ever enter the kids animation industry?
Look at the Big three, Disney, Nick and CN. Their ratings are declining since everyone will focus on YouTube, and Glitch began to slowly surpass the channels. The problem is that they lack content to be suitable for Audiences under the age of 10. And even almost every Indie Animation had been targeting to Teens and Adults.
I mean why does everyone reject the idea? Glitch should do it in a scenario where kids animation will slowly be on the decline.
They could bring back the charm of the 90s and 2000s kids cartoons with their Creative Freedom.
What if Viacom successfully Blocked Redstone in 1987
In 1987 Redstone made a hostile bid for Viacom however, Viacom would successfully pull off their MBO Buyout as a result faster and take Viacom private.
Because of this Viacom was in debt for their MBO Buyout. This leds to a restructure after.
Nicktoons was still established in 1991 and radicalized Pop Culture and gives Viacom cash flow however Viacom felt that the Showtime and MTV Networks were better off be under a Movie Studio because of the IPs, the value of the Networks and even the Nicktoons IPs.
As a result in early 1993, they would later put MTV Networks in Auction and it went to a frenzy, Warner didn’t participate because of concerns regarding HBO and Showtime under one roof. News Corp, Paramount and Columbia were bidding for the Networks however MCA ends up outbidding them and win because of their relationship in Universal Studios Florida, Fuel their MTV channel with their own Music labels and wanted the Nicktoons characters to be in the Parks.
In 1995, Seagram bought 80% of Universal and as a result MTV Networks and Nickelodeon stabilized Seagram, allowing Edgar Bronfman Jr. to keep Universal a bit longer.
Viacom would later be absorbed in 1996 by Westinghouse after they can’t survive by just being independent and Westinghouse bought them to reunite with CBS.
Paramount would instead end up with QVC under Diller in 1993. In 1994, one of QVC’s Backers, TCI launched Starz to be under the Paramount umbrella making it Paramount’s second network after QVC and their answer to HBO. Diller would also buy chris craft’s stake of UPN years earlier since he pulled off with the Fox Networks before. In 1997 they later bought all of USA networks making them under Paramount.
What if Viacom successfully blocked Redstone’s Bid in 1987?
In 1987 Redstone offered a hostile buyout of Viacom, Viacom tried but they lost.
What if Viacom successfully blocked Redstone from buying Viacom? How will it affect MTV Networks?
What if Glitch finally got the rights to the Splatoon IP and made the project with Meggy as an Inkling. How would you react?
If everyone’s talking about Lionsgate being a M&A target, What about Starz? Which company did you think should buy Starz?
Remember how Comcast put a bid on Warner? We dodged a bullet seeing recent news
Had that happened, It’ll be split again
Did you know Cartoon Network almost owned the rights to the classic Hanna Barbera characters?

Man, what could have been…
What company should’ve owned Tom and Jerry nowadays?
The duo kept being discussed whether or not they’ll fit the ownerships of MGM or Warner, so what company do you think the duo should fit?
За каких персонажей вы играете чаще всего?
Мои любимые персонажи: Донки Конг, Ганондорф, Банджо и Король Дедеде.
I have to answer…
Why did SMG4 keep Meggy’s human transformation in Desti’s scenario? She turned human due to her death but since Desti didn’t die she still turned human. I mean why? Why did he keep Meggy turning human in this scenario also? It would’ve make more sense if Meggy never turned human and kept her as an Inkling.
Since everyone is saying that Glitch will be a true competitor to Disney, DreamWorks and Illumination, there's one to make Glitch a true competitor to them, make something that is suitable for kids at age 7+ and even general audiences.
The things Glitch only produced were shows targeted to mostly a teen audience, but will they produce shows rated TV-Y, TV-Y7 and even TV-G? DreamWorks, Disney and even Illumination has their content being mostly targeted to kids, and Indie Animation lacked kid-targeted animation (BFDI and Zipped up exists, but it isn't under Glitch). They almost made Ultra Jump Mania as a potential kid targeted show, but its cancelled. Should they enter the family entertainment market? If they feel uncomfortable producing shows like this under the Glitch name, maybe they'll do a label something opposite of Disney's Touchstone Pictures.
