So what team are you on ? The "Drive and hopefully make it" team ? The "Park and trigger the train spawn on foot" team ? or the "Drive and reverse when you hear the incoming train" team ?
Something I'm been really curious about in the end of Highway 17 chapter in HL2 (PEAK Chapter btw) is how every player approaches this part of the level, there's an incoming train that would come in like the middle of the tracks, how do you yourself approach (Or used to do) it ? I see three possibilities:
- Press on when you hear the train horns and try to HOPEFULLY get to the other side with Turbo before you collide with the train and explode triggering the "Subject Terminated" black screen.
- Do it the safe way like I always used to when I was a kid, park the car on the side and go to the middle of the track on foot to trigger the incoming train and either run towards the buggy or just crawl under the wrecked train car on the side.
- Drive and when you hear the train horns and see the incoming train you reverse until you barely escape the train's grasp.
I myself used to do option 2 because I always used to fail when I drive and try to get the other side before the train hits me and Turbo mode can be hit or miss since HL Physics can something cause the buggy to become highly unstable and tumble when using Turbo but now I always do Option 1 cause well it's fun. The drive and reverse I rarely tried it so yea
