Sihr on people

Many times, marriages are broken due to sihr. Many people’s lives are ruined due to sihr. Countless people face barriers and blockages in their lives because of sihr. Sihr is extremely evil and can destroy a person, even leading to death. But the one who performs sihr or has it done for them destroys their own life before anyone else’s.

These people who do sihr and send jinn for this purpose call themselves Muslims. I cannot understand how someone can claim to be a Muslim while committing such a major act of kufr, whose punishment is death as mentioned in hadith.

If you are ever someone who even thinks about doing something like this, reflect on your fate and how you will ruin your family, your future generations, your dunya, and your akhirah. Nothing good can ever come from this. Allah is just, and you will only bring destruction upon yourself. Every time the person you afflicted feels pain, every dua they make, every cry from their heart, will return to you and harm your life and your family’s life. Every “Aah” will come back against you.

If you are someone who has been affected by sihr, do not lose hope. Know that this world is only a test. Everything will fade, and you will be rewarded immensely. Justice will be served in ways beyond what you can imagine.

Indeed, Allah is just!

Never let anyone feel ugly or unattractive

It was narrated by Ibn al‑Qayyim رحمه الله in Madarij al‑Sālikīn:

A man married a woman, and when he entered upon her, he saw that she had smallpox scars.

So he said: “My eyes are hurting.” Then he said: “I have gone blind.”

Twenty years later she died, and she never knew that he could see.

He was asked about this, and he said:

“I disliked that she would be saddened by seeing my reaction to what was on her face.”

So it was said to him:

“You have surpassed the young men.”

Divorce is not always bad

From an Islamic perspective, we are required to exhaust all options to preserve a marriage and leave no stone unturned. We should also never advocate for divorce in other people’s marriages unless they themselves decide it or the situation is extremely severe. The main thing is to exhaust all options in one's own marriage and also help others reconcile.

But sometimes divorce becomes the only route and the safest option. Unfortunately, in our society, divorce carries a stigma. But divorce is not always a curse, it's actually a blessing when all options are exhausted.

Ibn al‑Qayyim رحمه الله writes:

“Divorce may be one of the greatest blessings by which the one divorcing frees the shackle from his neck and the chain from his foot.

Not every divorce is a misfortune.

Rather, part of the perfection of Allah’s blessing upon His servants is that He allowed them to separate through divorce when one of them wishes to replace a spouse with another, or to free himself from someone he does not love and who does not suit him.

For there is nothing like marriage for two people who love one another,

and nothing like divorce for two people who have come to hate one another.”
