One of the first things Luz does after she arrives in Amphibia is deliver potions for Uodeela, much like in the episode "Witches Before Wizards." After being tricked by a frog, Luz tries to gather tomatoes from the tomato-plant monster, only to be caught and nearly eaten. Luckily, her friends and Uodeela show up to save her, and Uodeela easily beats it with magic. This is the first adventure Luz goes on in Amphibia in my fic, and it won't be the last. I like to imagine that Uodeela has dealt with the tomato plants before, so to her they're just a minor inconvenience.

So finally we have the amphibian version of Eda, Uodeela the Salamander! Special thanks again to u/Cartoonkatzenjammer, who brought Uodeela to life (just a reminder, her name is pronounced with a long "o" sound, so it's "oo-dee-la").

Unlike Eda, Uodeela is more active against Andrias. She's set herself up as a Robin Hood-type figure, stealing taxes from the toads and redistributing them to the poor. She's adept at magic and, unlike Eda, a more willing teacher as she tries to pass down lessons of magic to other species. She's also involved in a rebellion against the toads. When I came up with the idea for Uodeela I figured it made sense to make her a red salamander since Eda had that red dress. I really like how the artist made her snout dragon-like and made her look real fearsome. The staff she has contains a red gem that allows her to perform magic.

The second image in this post is of her in her "Red Heron" form. Unlike Eda, Uodeela curses herself to transform into a large heron that can attack pretty much anything. She's practically indestructible in that form. Unfortunately, repeated use of that form throughout her life has had some unintentional side effects that she has to deal with. Those of you who have read the fic, know what I'm talking about. Uodeela has been a fun character to write, and I'm looking forward to what you all will think of her as we enter the final Arc of the story.

So next we have the newt version of Amity. Thanks again to u/Cartoonkatzenjammer for bringing her to life. I figured it made sense to have Amity be a newt as they were seen as the more "intellectual" creatures of Amphibia. I also wanted to preserve Amity's "high-class status," so I made her parents part of the upper class in Amphibian society, so that Amara would be influenced by them and taught to look down on other species. Learning to grow out of that was a big part of her character development. Since she was brought up in an upper-class environment, she is very smart, just like Amity. She knows a lot about various subjects and is a natural at learning magic. Like Amity, Amara didn't have any real friends growing up, but now that she's spent time building bonds with Luz, Lilly, and Gustav, she considers them true friends. Finally, I have some ideas about her love life that we'll see more of as the story progresses.

So here's the next original character from my fic "The Owl and the Frog," Gustav the Toad. Shout-out to u/CartoonKatzenjamer for bringing my character to life. When I came up with the idea for amphibian counterparts, I thought it made sense to make each character a different species. For Gus I thought it made sense to make him a toad, as throughout the entire series, we never see any toad kids, which I always thought was weird. From the small glimpses we have of the toads, it seems they are a militant culture and place a lot of emphasis on strength. I thought it would be interesting to have a young child who isn't particularly interested in any of that and instead has other interests. His interest in music will be particularly important later in the story. Gustav has been bullied and belittled in his life for not being a "real toad," and so has grown to dislike them. I thought it would be a neat idea to make Percy his father to show where his love of music comes from and to explain why he isn't as interested in fighting as other toads. He wears a sky blue cloak as a reference to Gus's illusion track. I still have some great moments planned for him in Arc 7, so I hope you're all looking forward to that.

So a big shoutout to u/Cartoonkatzenjammer for creating this for me. This is the character Lilly from my fanfic "The Owl and the Frog." She is a frog version of Willow from Owl House. One of the big things in my fic is that when Luz goes to Amphibia, she meets counterparts of the characters from Owl House, only as Amphibians. So first up, we have Lilly. I felt it was appropriate that she was a frog, as frogs seem to have the best connection with nature. Her name came from a plant just like Willow's did, and her name is spelled with two "ll" like Willow. I figured blue was a good color for her since that's the color of the gem in the Massamune. I tried to keep Willow's humility, but also her bravery, in the character. I had already planned on having her wield the Massamune when I came up with the idea for the character. She's been one of my favorite original characters to write, and I hope I gave her some uniqueness while still keeping her close to Willow

Another image made by u/JMx64. Here we have Uodeela (the Amphibian counterpart of Edalyn Clawthorne) fighting a random toad after losing her hand. The events of this chapter play out similarly to "A Lying Witch and Warden" With Uodeela stealing taxes from the toads. I had her lose a hand instead of her head because Uodeela is a salamander who can regenerate body parts, so a lost hand is nothing more than a minor inconvenience to her as she'll grow a new one in a few weeks. I made Uodeela red as an homage to Eda and still gave her wild hair that she stores stuff in. I also want to give a shout-out to u/Cartoonkatzenjammer, who came up with the design of Uodeela. Maybe I'll show those designs next.

So I heard about ENB being a good company and wanted to invest some money in them. I just got my first dividend and saw the "withheld" amount. I understand that this is because it's a Canadian Company and I'm American, so some of the dividend is withheld. Just want to know if this is true, and if so, should I consider investing somewhere else if part of my money is going to be withheld every time.
