rugged tablet for cabin controls: oscal spider 10
building out my cabin and i want to wall mount a tablet to run my home assistant dashboard solar monitoring and offline maps. \n\ni was gonna use an old ipad but it gets super cold and dusty in there when im not around and the battery will probably bloat. looking at the oscal spider 10 since its a rugged tablet. does anyone use a rugged android tablet as a permanent smart home hub? idk if the battery management is smart enough to handle being plugged in 24/7 or if the dokeos software allows u to lock the screen to a single app cleanly.
How do user reviews compare for different brands of filling valves?
Last week my cousin was trying to replace a toilet filling valve and he got stuck comparing different brands because every shop and website was saying something different. At first he thought reviews would make it easy, but once we started reading them things became even more confusing. One brand had mostly good ratings but a few users complained about slow filling or noise. Another brand had mixed reviews where some people said it lasted years and others said it leaked within months. It felt like everyone had a different experience depending on their home water setup.
Next morning we visited a plumbing shop near the market and talked to an older installer there. He explained things in simple way and honestly it helped alot. He said user reviews for filling valves usually depend on water pressure, installation quality, and usage habits more than just brand name. He mentioned brands like Fluidmaster, Geberit, and Toto often get higher ratings because they are consistent and have better build quality. But he also warned that even top brands can get bad reviews if installed wrong or used in high pressure systems without proper adjustment. He showed us how some valves feel smooth and stable while others make noise or vibrate during refilling.
Later that night we checked more customer reviews and product listings on alibaba where buyers shared real experiences from home repairs and plumbing work. Some users praised long lasting performance while others complained about early wear or fitting issues. It made us realize reviews are useful but not always consistent, and the real difference comes from matching the right valve with the right water system and installation quality.
Anyone else feel mentally overloaded even with simple tasks lately?
lately my brain feels like 20 tabs are open at once lol. even when i know what i should do, everything just feels noisy and i keep jumping between thoughts without actually moving forward. i randomly came across this simple tool where you basically brain dump everything on your mind and it helps narrow it down into one clear next step instead of trying to solve your whole life at once. surprisingly calming tbh. not trying to do some huge productivity overhaul, just wanted something that helps clear mental clutter a bit. curious what other people use when their thoughts feel messy or overloaded.

tl;dr - Looking for input on Peec ai vs. Profound for AI visibility tracking. Profound looksgood on paper but it’s SO expensive. Peec is a fraction of the cost and I’m wondering if the data quality is as good. Hoping to hear from people who have used or evaluated
both to help me decide which direction to go.
For context, I’m head of growth at an HR tech B2B SaaS. We’ve got Series A funding. Small team, ~20 people total with 3 in marketing roles. I am evaluating tools for tracking AI search performance. The goal is to determine where and how we’re appearing in AI
generated answers. I want to know what sources are influencing our visibility and accurately track and improve performance across LLM platforms.
Looked at Profound and it’s great on paper but holy hell $500/mo per seat pricing is… a
lot. Yes I have a budget but as we scale I can already see this eating up a huge chunkof budget and I’m trying to run as lean as possible. Seat costs add up quickly. I do not love this pricing model.
The other tool I’m looking at is Peec ai which has a friendlier pricing model but I want to know if the data quality is still good at their price point.
We’re in a content-rich, highly competitive industry. Basically I’m just trying to track our brand’s visibility compared to 5 or so competitors who have been around a bit longer.
Whichever tool I end up going with, only 2-3 people will be using it but I need to share insights across the company. At this point even $1500/mo is way more than I’m comfortable spending. It doesn’t make economic sense right now. It’ll make even less
sense as we grow. Right now I’m not doing enterprise-scale prompt testing pipelines.
Eventually, yeah, but right now I need solid data we can act on, track, and share across the company.
