I've heard some crazy stories of people meeting random people while on vacation or in the park to get invited to Club 33. My mom has always wanted to go and I'm hoping some of that luck gets to her some day!
What are your thoughts on the riser? How does it compare to other similarly priced options like the GT or other manufacturers in your opinion? Seems like the GT, G2, and GX lines all get a lot of talk but don't see much on the GQ
I'm not the type that is hung up on heavier=better and don't want to assume I'm stronger because I know the two styles are very different, but I found a good deal for a used riser and limbs but the draw weight is in the mid 30s on the limbs. Too high for a beginner to recurve?
EDIT: Yea the early consensus seems to mirror what my hunch was in terms of going lower in weight if possible. The riser is compatible with ILF, so if I do go with it I guess I can pick up a pair of cheap lower weight limbs - just another thing to spend some money on haha. Thanks all for the input!
Anybody done this before (I'll be doing the renting but happy to hear both perspectives). Any tips/things to look out for? In a bit of a pinch and will need a car, and turo seems like just about the cheapest option to do this.
