Hey everyone,
I’m riding a Yamaha Ténéré 700 with stock suspension and I’m trying to figure out an intermittent issue.
The problem:
While riding unloaded (no luggage, no modifications) I occasionally hear a single “clunk/knock” from the front end when hitting hard, sharp bumps or fast compressions.

Key points:
Happens only while riding under real load conditions
Cannot be reproduced in the garage by compressing the forks manually
Bike is completely stock and unloaded
No obvious bottoming out (still some travel left)
Handling feels normal otherwise
Occurs inconsistently, not on every bump
What I already checked:
Brake caliper tightness
Fender, cables, crash bars, general front-end hardware
Quick visual inspection – nothing obvious found

Has anyone experienced something similar on the T7?
Could this be fork internals, steering head bearings, axle alignment, or is this known behavior of the stock suspension under dynamic compression?
