Course selection for junior year

So this will be pretty long, I apologize, but I’m not sure which classes would be the best to take next year. I have some options but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on this. I’m not really sure what I want to do for work after school or what I want to do at college (or where to go) but I’m thinking something to do with history or maybe a journalist.

Basically I already chose some classes but I was thinking of changing some. For example, for my science class I could take chemistry (I took biology last year and marine biology this year), APES (which is what I was considering), or physics.

For English I could take normal English 11 or IB English 11 (I’m in pre IB English right now) but I’m assuming that it would be better if I want to do journalism (probably history too) to take that class and then IB English 12 my senior year.

I know that a lot of classes I’m taking likely won’t help much with my future career but I just want to take the best classes I can and be successful. For math I could take algebra 2 or finance but if I wanted to I could do algebra 2 over the summer and skip ahead to pre-calculus 1 or AP statistics because I feel like it would be better if I got ahead in math even though I’m right where I’m supposed to be.

For history I could take IB Economics SL, IB Global Politics SL (I really want to take this class because it’s great for journalism but I’m worried it might be kind of hard), United States history (which is a standard class so pretty easy), IB History of the Americas 11 HL (and I would continue it senior year), or AP World. I’ve already taken both pre IB history classes so I don’t have to take US history unless I wanted to because I could take a harder course.

I have to take 7 classes all together and I decided on my elective and world language so now I need math, science, history, and English which means I can take either two of one subject to get ahead or I have to find another elective. It’s ok if nobody can help me or give me recommendations on what to take but I’m really stressed trying to choose classes.

For some context I will also include all the core classes l have already taken because that might help with which classes would be the best for me. Also I am absolutely willing to do whatever I can during the summer to take any of these classes.

Algebra 1
Geometry
Pre IB World History 1
Pre IB World History 2
Pre IB English 9
Pre IB English 10
Biology
Marine Biology/Oceanography

How to get into an Ivy League?

I’m a sophomore in high school and not doing very well. I was not focused this year (or most of last year) and I’m really worried that I’ve ruined my chances. I’m currently taking pre IB english 10 and pre IB world history 2 which I will hopefully pass by the end of the year but I don’t think I am planning to do full IB unless it would actually help me. For next year I’m actually planning on working hard and getting good grades but I was wondering what classes I should take because I already registered but I can switch classes if I want. I’m only taking APES which definitely isn’t the best AP to take but I’m pretty sure the only other one my school offers (I’ll have to check) is AP world which I might take.

I also decided to take finance for my math class but I’m not sure if that’s a good option. I could take IB classes but I need to actually know what would help me and what extracurriculars should I do because right now I’m not in any clubs I’m just in the highest band classes but I assume more extracurriculars would help me. Is there anything I can do during the summer to take more advanced classes next year and be more motivated to be successful? If I start working harder and Improving my grades over the next two years and the rest of this year will that make a big impact?

Horrible periods

I likely have endometriosis (going to the doctor in two weeks after having to wait for months) but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get through periods like this. On the first day I can’t even get out of bed, I can’t eat or drink water, I can’t lay down or sleep because my cramps are so bad, I get very nauseous and I throw up, my period is very heavy, I can’t think, I get very dizzy and get horrible headaches, and heat and medicine don’t work. I don’t know what to do I actually can’t do this anymore and I’m only 15 but this has been going on for over a year now.

Hello all, I was wondering what I should do if I am interested in orthodoxy and wanting to convert but cannot attend a church? I’m from a Jewish family and I am also a minor so I cannot go by myself and I can’t ask my parents to take me but I know that church is such a big part of orthodoxy and I’m not sure what to do. Would watching a livestream of a service be ok?

It was a gift from a family friend who is Greek Orthodox but I’m pretty sure this is not Greek or orthodox? Correct me if I’m wrong!

Pretty much what the title says but for a long time I’ve struggled with what to believe in. I know that I believe in a God but weather I follow Christianity (catholic or orthodox specifically) or Judaism is my real struggle. I was raised with both so I understand them to a degree although my parents were no longer very religious once I was born but I believe they both have good qualities. I understand there are bad things about both but I also believe they possibly could both be “true” at the same time. I know I didn’t really give any reasons for why I would want to follow either one but I’m looking for advice from others on your opinions or how I can really look into both religions and see for myself what I believe to be the truth.
