Not one of them with any regularity. On the rare occasion I’m able to view the feed, it takes 1-2 minutes for it to load. No, it isn’t my “internet connection”…it’s not the phone or anything else. It’s just a SHITTY FUCKING PRODUCT that I have spent at least $1600 on, plus nearly three years of monitoring.
It isn’t summer anymore and these people with such cush jobs seem like they cant even drag themselves to work… for millions of dollars a year. And they’re supposed to be “relatable”?!
A few years ago I built up a newsletter for a small community organization in my city of less than 80,000 residents. It was essentially a neighborhood association. I'm somewhat good at marketing and graphic layout, and was a journalist/reporter early in my career, so much of it came natural.
It wasn't long before I started selling ads. I moved on from that organization and they dropped the ball on it - so I'm thinking of launching my own as a small side business effort. I used Constant Contact before and found it somewhat easy to use. My plan would be to use the list I built up 6 years ago, build it bigger, launch the newsletter, and eventually attempt to sell ads on it like before. I wouldn't attempt to charge for it until and unless it because successful enough to support that.
I know many people here use BeeHiv. I never have and would be able to pay a bit for something that gives me the marketing tools and templates a CC like company have. Anyone else using Constant Contact, particularly to generate money? If so, I'd really appreciate hearing from you.
Anybody seen these? They have got to be the most loathsome of loathsome commercials. They’re completely AI, poorly produced and they are such a blatant scam that I’m surprised this growing up and coming news network agrees to air them. They’re made to dupe people into buying some cheap funeral policy and show all these fake videos of people crying and acting out over getting big checks, presumably after their loved one dies. But they’re acting like they won the lottery. The company is so sketchy that even a general question about them online gets a long AI response noting them as 100% misleading and predatory.
Every tv and most print ads include this. They've used her in pretty much every commercial and print ad for what, 18-20 years? She MUST be a multi-millionaire by now, right? I always wonder if she's locked in to only working for them? I would assume that while she's playing Flo, they've not allowed her to do any TV shows or movies, which is what most television actors aspire to. If that's the case, they must have had to pay her a hefty sum to dedicate her entire career to wearing a white smock and shilling car insurance. I'd love to see the house she lives in. Then again, I'm nosey.

I kept seeing these spots and finally got curious and looked them up. The cringey nature of the commercials and some of the people in the ads definitely gave off a sketchy vibe and apparently it was accurate. They’ve been sued by the Feds and had to pay a huge chunk for sketchy practices. Apparently they’re one of those companies that prey on people with Medicare and likely inflate bills to suck as much money out of the government through Medicare recipients as possible. Their patients have listed lots of complaints. You gotta wonder what kind of doctors work at places like this? Are they doctors who graduate from those lowbrow off shore medical schools etc?
She’s getting close to eclipsing the first Jardiance woman in persistent irritation. The shrill shouting over and over again no matter what network I’m on. Back to school can NOT come and go soon enough.

We're always treated to decisions being made, and kept from everyone in town by only a small core group: Boyd, Donna, Kenny, sometimes Tabitha, sometimes Jade, and ALWAYS fucking Ellis, who does absolutely nothing all day, apparently, but paw at FaTEEma and strut around in his 'edgy' jeans. But why won't they open things up to everyone else? It would stand to reason that more voices, more ideas would equal more opportunities.
Hoping someone could help with a couple of questions. I’ve added three images here for context.
- Looking at my motion sensor icons on my SimpliSafe app, I noticed that one sensor icon is different from the others. They are all the same, most of them purchased at the same time. So they’re identical. Not really a big deal just want to know if anyone has noticed the same thing and why one seems to be rendered differently than the others. (I swear this system and the app seems so quirky to me!)
- Instant Trigger: I don’t entirely understand this setting. For example, if I have a entry or motion sensor set to alarm when the system is in Home or Away modes, does the alarm not trigger if either of those sensors pick something up unless I have “Instant Trigger” set to ‘on’, or is there a delay in the alarm triggering unless that’s on perhaps? I’ve always assumed that setting the individual devices per the modes dictated whether or not they would sound alarms if triggered. But then’s the instant trigger option in each device, which is normally set to ‘off.’ Seems contradictory to me, but I’m sure I’m missing something. Thanks for the help!
We've tried it once, last fall and it took a bit longer than anticipated, but that could have been a one-off. Wondering if anyone else periodically tests how soon SS monitoring calls when your alarm's triggered. (Keep in mind that even when they call, that's not when they're contacting first responders. So I would guess that time between alarm and 911 contact by SimpleSafe would be about 3-4 minutes minimal?)
Hi everybody - I have the KitchenAid 600 series, 6-QT, 10-speed bowl lift mixer, (see photos). I'm a slowly 'self taught' baker and a guy who still has a lot to learn about cooking and baking. I've had my mixer for about three years now. It came with the metal bowl and I purchased the heavy KitchenAid glass bowl that I like to use even more, but things often don't seem right. Could someone help me, please, with the following?

I get a message out of the blue last week saying they are sending me a new base station, apparently mine has some issues, or maybe it’s everyone I don’t know. Received the new base station today and learn, of course that I now have to go around to every device I have and essentially reset it/reconnect it. I suppose it makes sense that would need to be done, but I have four outdoor cameras, a couple of them I need ladders to access, several window, entry sensors, motion sensors etc. This is going to take a long time and generally be a pain in the ass. It’ll probably also do that thing where the trouble signal will beep or flash the next 24 hours because that’s what these things do when you add or change anything. I guess I’m glad they told me there’s an issue, but this company is a perpetual hot mess! I’ve had ongoing trouble with various pieces of equipment during my 3 1/2 years with this service. I pay for monitoring, I’ve expanded this system, and I swear I regret all of it. Having a home security system should not be this complicated and it should not pedal this kind of cheap Chinese-made crap. I’m thinking of just ending the monitoring, keeping the devices and slowly beginning to figure out how to replace it.
I was thinking of taking a stab at offering niche, general cleaning for restaurants, coffee shops, etc. to see if there is a market for this. I'd likely offer only front of house cleaning/general sterilizing, restrooms, etc. and would stay clear of the kitchen except for maybe offering mopping and wipe down (perhaps as an additional charge). - Has anyone ever tried or done this and if so, mind sharing your experience and maybe how/what you charged?
