Best Excursion for One Full Day in El Calafate/Perito Moreno?

Hi,

Planning to come to Patagonia in January. The plan is to arrive into Calafate and spend the first day resting and exploring town. But, the second day will be a full day to explore, so looking for insight on the best tours to book. We will spend the 2nd night in Calafate as well, then head to Chalten. Right now we are highly considering Mayo Spirit Trek from southernspiritfte.com. Does this seem like the best use of our full day, or are there others you would recommend? Open to guided hikes and/or boats; not interested in walking on the glacier.

How was the bus yesterday?

Have tickets for an event in the city tonight. Closest thing to me is the train but considering driving to a bus stop instead. Was the bus better than the train yesterday? Specifically, would be taking the 114

Hi all, I am just starting to do my research. Planning to come around late December (after Christmas) and leave sometime before January 10th, still deciding on the exact dates. I'd like to do Laguna de los Tres, Perito Moreno Glacier, and probably some smaller hikes. I am from the USA and I have mostly hiked in Arizona, day hikes only. Typically there I wore leggings for hikes. Should I invest in hiking pants for this trip or continue to wear leggings? For tops I am seeing I will need a windbreaker (I will have to get one) and a fleece to go under (which I do have). I have a pair of ankle hiking boots which I figure I will wear with wool socks. This seems like it will be the most "serious" hiking I have done so want to make sure I am dressed properly!

Hi all! I will be coming to Bermuda on a royal caribbean cruise. We dock around 9 am on a Monday and leave at 5 on Tuesday. I started doing some research and here is what I am thinking, looking to make sure this sounds feasible and fun!

MONDAY:

Ferry at 11:30 directly to St George's

Bus to Crystal Cave

Bus to Tobacco Bay, rent snorkel on site

Quick walk around St George's, maybe buy some rum cake? Sadly I do not like fish so not looking to try that while in town

Catch the 6 pm ferry directly back to dockyard

TUESDAY:

Breakfast on the ship and then get moving

Bus to Horeshoe Bay, walk also to Jobson's Cove, Warwick Long Bay.

Spend time chilling on the beach

Leave around 3 pm to get back to dockyard and get back on the cruise ship
