OMG

I just published my MM romcom novella on June 28th and it already has 1,313 page reads on Kindle!!! I'm so excited! I had a lot of fun writing it and I worked really hard on it so I'm glad other people are reading and enjoying it as much as I did 😊

If anyone's interested and wants to check it out, here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H6VRD9XQ

Hi! New author here! 👋

I just published my new romantic comedy novella Cheers & Chess yesterday, and I thought this would be a good subreddit to post about it :)

In short, it's about a frat guy who, after getting his heart broken twice on the same day, gets drunk and accidentally crashes his crush's chess club meeting, where they finally start getting to know each other. It's about ~70 pages and is a generally lighthearted read. If anyone is interested, it's available on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited :)

I'm VERY new to publishing (I've only written three other shorter works this year), so marketing is pretty nerve-wracking to me lol. But yeah, if you want to check it out, here's the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0H6VRD9XQ

Thanks for reading my post! :)

If you like short and sweet romances...

You might like my new novelette Blowing Candles! It's an opposites-attract, kinda instalove-y story about two guys meeting at a college birthday party and hitting it off. Both MCs have ADHD, so it touches on that and how that affects their love lives and Andy's (MC1) first time being intimate. It's not too angsty, very spicy, and has a HEA :) It's also first-person POV and around 12k words long.

It's free with Kindle Unlimited and .99 cents for regular purchase. The link is on my profile! 😁

Do you guys prefer books on the longer side or the shorter side?

I'm curious how this sub feels. I usually read shorter books, like under 100 pages (although I just finished Goodbye Paradise yesterday which is just under 300). I'm not sure why I trend towards shorter works but yeah. What do you guys prefer and why?

Just got 101 page reads this month!

So I published an short story late last month (my third one) and I got literally .20 cents in royalties from my own read through 😅 But a couple days ago, I randomly got 101 page reads! It's a KU book so I get paid by the page turns and you know what? I'm just stoked that my new .43 cents in royalties isn't from me.

I changed the cover recently to more accurately match the genre (MM romcom) so I wonder if that had something to do with it. I'm just so happy that I'm not seeing 0 anymore when I go on the reports page 🥹 I'm new to the genre and I feel like I really started to hit my stride with the types of stories I wanna write with this third one so I'm glad it's the one that someone out there chose to read (not that I'm not proud of the first two). Also I'm reading a LOT in my genre now (queer romance in general) so that helps obviously. My reading slump is over!

I have another short story I'm working on right now (editing) that I'm totally in love with and a novella so hopefully when I publish them someone clicks those too :)

Btw, if you see a post on my profile about the book, that's the old cover. I like it, but it doesn't really scream romantic comedy to me, especially compared to the bestsellers in my genre. Just a heads up.

I just published my third short story on Amazon!

It's an MM college romance (as you can see from the cover). It's a mostly light-hearted (with spice) and quick read at about 9k words, so if that interests anyone, it's up on Amazon and free with Kindle Unlimited :)

I just released my debut title as an ebook on Amazon last month, and I'm really happy about it! It's a lighthearted MM romance short story (4k-5k words) and does involve an age-gap between the main couple with slight poly elements (ik that's not everyone's thing). I've been writing for several years now, unpublished, but I never wrote romance all too often, which is weird because I love romance, so I went all in and wrote what I wanted to read. Something with a cozy, intimate vibe, spicy, emotional, and overall a bit unserious. I had a blast writing this! I also love abstract titles that make me go, “What could this possibly be about?” Might be more concrete with them in the future, though. This story is currently available for free as an ebook on Kindle Unlimited or for purchase (ebook) at $2.99. Here's the US link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GX351Q64

As someone with unmedicated ADHD, I had my doubts that I would ever finish anything to the point of being publication-ready, but because I really want to be an author and love writing and thinking of story ideas, I decided to really hunker down and get it done. The whole process was definitely a big learning curve for me, but I found it fulfilling. I myself tend to read short stories and novellas more often than novels since I love the intimate feel and smaller scale they tend to have, so I plan to write mainly those in the future. I'm actually currently editing a beach romance, and it's been a joy to write so far :)
