Sold my childhood Pokemon game. I just want to talk about it some. (Not my art)

Sold my childhood Pokemon game. I just want to talk about it some. (Not my art)

I had a copy of Yellow for like 20 years. I sold it to replace my switch. I regret it, but I kinda needed to to have \*any\* sense of control over my life currently. (I can't find a job, so only income I had)

My game stopped saving, so my Pikachu couldn't remember any of our adventures. I've since saw this as her having amnesia. She can't remember our adventures, but she will always remember us and how much we cared over the years. We never once beat the gym leaders or the whole game. We weren't the best, but we were us. I think that's the important part in the end.

I'll miss my game, I won't be seeing her again outside of emulation. But at least I'll have my memories of the game I had.

Games that are hard as heck and take the piss out of you for it?

The only game I know of is Getting Over It, where it's a super hard platformer that will give you inspirational quotes and kind words in a way that's mocking you when you lose progress. Are there other games where the game is extremely challenging and the game directly makes fun of you, the player, for not being that good?

Have to reset my island, so sharing my favorite villagers on my island.

Canberra, Bella and Biff are my favorites. I have to send them packing because I have to use a new account after my brother is using my original account and I don't want to have an empty house in AC. I'll probably find them in the dlc or on an island somewhere, who knows?

What are some traditions you have in AC?

For me, it's always clapping to the boat songs and then applauding kapp'n afterwards. Also, any time Isabelle is asleep in the town hall, I just let her sleep. She needs her sleep.

My cartridge reader broke T^T

My switch doesn't run physical games now, so I need to sell my games now to be able to play Animal Crossing. At least I get the dlc and online but still.

I'm trading Hyrule Warriors, Pokemon Sword, New Horizons and Super Mario 3D All Stars. Fuck.

If a centaur breaks his legs, do you still put him down or nurse his as you would a human?

I know how that sounds, but you put horses down when you break their knees, so since he's half horse...? Like I'm not racist towards centaurs, I'm just curious.

What are the "red flags" for gaming. Like what should I avoid if I have addiction problems?

Like I tend to get addicted to games like Stardew Valley and Hero Shooters whenever I play them. (I have to cut myself off from them to stop)

What other red flags should I avoid if I have addictive tendencies in gaming
