Is law really worth it?

I'm about to be a senior in highschool, and I've thought about pursuing law as my career. But here's the thing, I've seen countless ppl tell me "it's not worth the effort", "you really need to be on your A game", "They're overworked and under paid", etc. I've always had a dream of being a lawyer, specifically family law. I really have a passion for trying to make the world a better place and trying to make people's lives easier. I will be honest tho, I'm not a really "consistently studying" kinda person. I do get stuff done by the due date, i do complete things despite procrastinating, but tbh from what I've heard, you need to be very articulate about your words and your actions, and you cannot contradict your own statements. I do hope to learn these in law school, but I'm afraid I won't be as good as i think i am and I'll end up choosing a career I won't be able to pursue further in life. Even tho I've looked into other degrees like English Literature or Psychology, they haven't really called upon me like law has for the past 4 years. I just hope my passion helps me learn consistency, and my consistency helps me when my passion is at it's all time low.

If you have any advice then please lmk, any help is better than none! 🫂

I'm 19, which is what most ppl consider the last year of your teens before you turn into an actual adult, and boy do i gotta say, I am NOT PREPARED 😭.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to turn the page and actually start embracing adulting, but there's something beautiful about being a teen. You're still figuring stuff out, you're learning new things, you're making stupid mistakes, etc etc.

This is low key a reminder to everyone to enjoy your teenage years! Whether you're an introvert who stays inside most of the time, or an extrovert who goes out frequently. Keep growing and shining everyone, your light is needed!! ⭐
