At what point does it become acceptable to ask whether Portugal’s World Cup chances improve once Ronaldo is no longer part of the team?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently learning Vectorworks Spotlight and focusing on event layouts, stage designs, lighting plans, venue planning, entry/exit flow, and production design. I’d like to start freelancing or collaborating with people who need help on projects.

I’m trying to understand:

Where do people usually find freelance work for Vectorworks / event design / stage design?

Are there specific websites, communities, or agencies that hire freelancers for this kind of work?

How do I connect with event planners, production houses, exhibitors, wedding planners, concert organizers, etc. who may need design support?

Is it better to pitch directly to companies or build a portfolio first?

If you started from zero, what would you do first?

I’m open to remote work, collaborations, short-term gigs, and learning through real projects.

Would really appreciate advice from anyone in live events, exhibitions, entertainment design, or freelancers already using Vectorworks.

Trying to turn lines and layers into livelihood 😄
