Priya is going to watch this series back and realise Julia was the only person in that villa actually telling her the truth.

Everyone else nodded along and told her what she wanted to hear (or worse manipulated her for their gain). Julia said the uncomfortable thing to her face, stood by it when it got replayed in front of the whole group, and then the next clip proved her right.

That’s not meddling. That was her best ally in there purely for being honest. When Lorenzo stood by Julia’s opinion in tonight’s show she accepted some of it (given the delivery) from Lorenzo and acted on it. She will see that she was never part of the Jasmine and Mika click and that they weren’t “her girls”.

Genuinely frustrating because the ingredients were all there this year. But the producers have killed it by clinging to their preferred narrative instead of letting the public shape the show.

It’s 2026. Everything is moving towards more public input, more voting, more real-time interaction. You’d expect Love Island of all shows to lean into that. Instead we’re getting fewer meaningful votes and more producer-driven storylines.

Case in point: Fitz and Lola. They’ve been handed top boy and top girl status by “connection” and nobody in the villa or outside it gets to challenge that (besides Julia). Give the public a proper vote on standing in the villa, independent of couples, and I guarantee perceptions shift fast. Not just for them, but for the whole OG islanders vs new Casa girls dynamic, which has been handled terribly. The integration has been non-existent and the show has done nothing to address it.

Let the audience actually influence the show. That’s the whole point of the format.
