My lineup (new to EDC)
From left to right, top to bottom:
Medical ID bracelet
Samsung Watch 5 Pro
Card ejector wallet
Leatherman Wave Plus
Olight Arcpro Ultra
Knife (? - Gifted, originally bought from Walmart)
Zebra Pen F-701
Klein Tools 32614 Screwdriver
Key ring (Cheapie FUNBRO knife, Olight Imini 2 flashlight, backup pills, keys)
This whole thing has just been a slippery slope over the past year.
I bought a Wingman years ago, mostly for the bottle opener, and then put it in a drawer and forgot about it. Last fall, I found it again and decided on a whim to start carrying it around with me. Just a few weeks later, my girlfriend is trying to put up a fan, didn't have wire cutters or pliers, and I was able to provide, so I wasn't going to stop carrying after that...
When I met her brother-in-law (who is into EDC), he was telling me how much he loved flashlights and started showing me a few of his future wants. Thought, who would spend $100 on a flashlight, what a waste of money, right, but a few weeks later I thought maybe I could get an in with him if I got one and a flashlight could be handy, so I figured $50-$60 was a good investment for some brownie points. He helped me pick out a little Nitecore EDC 33, so that got taken around with me everywhere.
Last Christmas, her nephew, who is also into EDC, (IT professional so by necessity), helped open the young'un's presents with his pocket knife and I mentioned to my girlfriend that I had been thinking of picking up a small pocket knife because a multitool seems like a pain to open just to open a box. He overheard and jumped up, "You want a knife? I got knives, wait here." Came back with two pocket knives, he said they were cheapies from Walmart, but still decent quality if you know what to look for. He obviously sunk some money into his personal knife, but he wasn't about to gift me a $50+ knife and I wasn't about to accept one.
Recently, I decided I didn't like the flatter screwdriver on my Wingman, so asked girlfriend's brother-in-law for multitool recommendations. He came back with the Wave Plus. I thought, why not, and picked it up along with the belt clip. I just mentioned I was looking into a higher lumen flashlight (plus the Nitecore kept coming out of the removable clip) and he pushed for the Olight. I was hesitant, but he insisted that I shouldn't be too worried about the numbers, so I went ahead. And that is my absolute favorite thing to have with me. I will recommend it to anyone. Better than the Nitecore 33 in about every way.
The Wave Plus didn't solve my bit driver issue, so picked up the Klein and it's alright. Wouldn't mind a different one, but this one fits all my needs.
Next on my wishlist are the Elementum II knife and the Fisher Space Pen to replace the cheapie I have, and maybe a zipper cord for the Ingles card and house key. I'm open to picking up a power bank, but if I can't find a decent one that's not too big to carry in the pocket comfortably (and I don't think I will), I'm good to go without.
All I wanted was a bottle opener...
TLDR: Girlfriend's family is a bad influence.
Is anyone else getting tired of this?
Happy little moments
The girlfriend (43F) and I (40M) were in the Walmart today, trying to pick out the perfect center-cut bacon. Suddenly this young girl nearby starts wailing and throwing a tantrum because grandma won't buy her the Lunchables. My girlfriend turns to me and says, "Best birth control."

I love her to pieces.
Company changed a hotkey in Microsoft Office. How can I view/edit it?
While Microsoft Word or Excel is the active window, ctrl P and ctrl E now open a specific company website that isn't relevant to my role. Where is that setting likely to be so I can edit it to a less inconvenient hotkey?
I'm in Office365.
S02E06 "Thor's Chariot" always makes me laugh a little during the puzzles with Daniel telling Gairwyn about Thor.
Imagine being a life-long devotee to a religion and a foreigner comes along to describe your god to you. Just shows how nice Gairwyn really is that she didn't make a comment back.
Are there any other examples of Daniel explaining a group's religion to them?
