Haven't seen anyone mention this one ...

Hayden was great in this movie. Something about the mother-daughter bond she and Joely Richardson depicted really struck a nerve with me.

So much talent. Gone way too soon.

Anyone getting sources for the new British series, Possession (2026) [Sky]?

It was released on Sky/NOW Aug 6. I'm using POV with EasyNews + TorBox. EasyNews isn't indexing the series (confirmed by searching EN directly), and TorBox is only returning a few season packs with Eastern European dubbed/voice-over audio.

Has anyone found an original-English source through RD, TorBox, EasyNews, or another Usenet indexer?

Mainly trying to figure out whether it's available somewhere before I reactivate RD or set up a separate Newznab indexer.

Thanks!

It's hard out here for a girl trying to speak Spanish ... in Spain

No ad. No bait. Just a real girl sharing her real experiences.

Same show — scrape results from RD but not from TorBox ...

I have both RealDebrid and TorBox. If I search for a series to stream and find that the scrape has results from RealDebrid (unplayable but there) but none from TorBox, does that mean there is likely a magnet link/torrent for the series out there somewhere? And all I'd have to do is find it and cache it on my TorBox account?

If so, what torrent site do you guys use? (I've only done this once before, and it seemed like a minefield out there with a lot of shady sites).

Thanks!

Missing star (*) features on new Digital Phone service?

Is *69, "Call Return", still available for AT&T Digital Phone service?

My aunt, who's blind and uses it in conjunction with talking Caller ID**, was recently switched from the landline service to this one. The *69 feature has not worked for her since the switch.

Is the feature gone entirely now? Or do we have to do something special in order to enable it?

**Sometimes, her talking caller ID fails to announce calls coming in when she's on another line. This is when she would use the *69 feature on her old traditional phone service.

The Last One to Know: Sibling Edition

So, I just found out that my dad had two additional spouses/partners, and he had one child with each of them. Apparently, I have two additional half-siblings. But the kicker is, one of them was born when my parents were still married.

See, I didn't find this out through a DNA match. I found it by looking at a tree created by a second cousin, for my dad's side of the family. Just happened to take a deeper dive there, looking for old pics of my dad when he was young, and I came across a long ass list of "relationships". Some were private, others not. I knew about most of them (my dad had been married 4x and had other kids; mom was his third wife; I'm their only child). But a couple of the spouses names stood out. One name I instantly recognized. When I read it, my heart sank. I could just hear my mother's voice snarling that name. 😠 *Delores* 😠 ... "that green-eyed bitch, Delores."

From what I recall, Delores was a lady who worked for my dad, and the source of many an argument between my parents. Her name came up whenever he was late coming home from the office, which was often. But, it was his business; he had to work hard, he said. Mommy (who was dealing with other issues at this time) was erratic, paranoid, and unreasonably suspicious, he said. Obviously, nothing was going on, he said.

Fast forward to now. I'm middle-aged, my parents eventually divorced, and both are long gone (dad passed when I was 16; mom when I was 20), but I feel like the this-is-too-much-for-me ten year old overhearing all this shit. This old news shouldn't matter, right? But why do I feel ... anger, betrayal, embarrassment, hurt ... on the part of my mom? And myself. How did I not know about these siblings? (They weren't at the funeral; never been mentioned, to my knowledge). How long has everyone else known? To the point it's out -- loud and proud -- on the official GD family tree? WTAF.

I haven't been in touch with this side of the family much, so, I really have no one I want to ask. (I sent a hasty, reactive message to the cousin in charge of the tree, but haven't heard a word back). Whatever. I'm bothered, though. And bothered that I'm bothered. Any advice/feedback/commiseration? I feel my reaction to this is strangely immature. Even so, I'll lean into it and say what I'm really thinking right now: This genealogy shit isn't fun anymore 😕
