The side character curse

I think Shannon has all these amazing side characters that i miss all the time. Tinker??? I need to see her. I imagine her so vividly and id love to draw her someday.
I feel like im drawn to the weirdest characters.. doomed to never see them again. Fallon Vacker, for example. I actually really liked getting to know Luzia when she was plot relevant. She was a new voice with complex character to her.

I know sophie gets made fun of for picking favorites. And honestly, i think its Shannon poking fun at herself for filling the books with the sophitzeefe.
I dont blame her! Its hard to give everyone enough screentime, and some characters would overlap to the point where they no longer serve a purpose. I miss Alden dearly, for example, but I get that Bronte stepped into Alden’s role just with an entirely different approach during the team Valiant stuff. With the matchmaking drama it makes narrative sense she’d avoid Alden.

I know thats what fanfiction is for, and its unrealistic for shannon to decide what every person’s piece of lore is! Some of the council members have such interesting abilities though

Found a great church but with one unavoidable “issue”?

Hello! Need a bit of advice.
For the past two years I’ve struggled in my faith, almost left, and come back with an interest in theology, diving into the richness the Christian tradition has to offer. My family and I moved to the Bible Belt, where most churches around here are baptist or non denom. I have been sniffing around other denominations, fascinated by the differences, and honestly mostly just trying out something that isnt reformed baptist. My main goal has been to find a pastor with edifying sermons that aren’t constantly PSA-coded.

Recently, I found a small methodist church that is low stimulation, traditional, diverse in age, community-oriented, transparent with finances, invests in their youth, with an appointed educated reverend who’s sermons are genuinely interesting, scripture-based, and full of grace.

People here have been so genuine and kind with me, one even connecting me with a job opportunity, which is an answered prayer. The issue? The reverend is a young woman. I’ve always been a person who builds her faith around everything my family expects from me. Ive never had my own identifiable faith. And i finally feel like i found a church where i could start seeing God in a new way. This church seems to have a strong theology and practical applications, but my background insists that somehow the church is wrong because of the person appointed to the congregation.

She is such a smart woman, with strong rhetorical skills, kind and prayerful, genuine. She was appointed from south korea after her theology degree and is married to a minister. To keep this short, what do i do? Is it okay for me to go to a good church regardless? I personally dont have an issue and i trust the reverend knows far more than me, and i believe everything she does is out of her desire to please the Lord. Im scared my family will blow up at me about this. I dont mean to open a debate. How high tier of an issue is this really ??

Curious about the lack of merch

My BF and I have been reading through Book 7 and he wished prattles pins were real. I offered to make him some—I can draw and if i cant find a custom enamel pin website, i could just borrow a regular round pin machine. Even shrink plastic would work.

This really got me thinking how curious it is that the series lacks merchandise. My guess is that the fanbase has a lot more young people, and as it hasnt gotten a movie yet, has more of a casual cult following than, say, the beast Harry Potter was.

I wonder if i should even bother to make some before the movie, since they’re probably gonna change the designs Shannon had planned for some anyway lol!

Small rough patch has grown and turned red over weeks (NOT graphic, marked NSFW for spoiler)

Weeks ago i noted a rough texture on the back of my neck. I tried using a new cream on it which irritated it. I stopped. Since then, for weeks it has slowly grown bigger. I try to use jojoba oil and vaseline on it because its dry and irritated but im unsure what to do about it. Ive never had anything like that on my neck before. It itches in the morning
