Let me tell you a couple of three things
So basically in chronical order why Balam > Arequebus:
-Balam sends their MT squad to investigate 621´s arrival while Arqueubus thinks that place has any significance. Which it doesnt but the city does where the RLF was retreating to. And Balam already was making a move for.
- 621 is sent in to destroy the artillery so Balam can move in and succesfully capture the spiritual leader of the local rebels. A man so important the Redgun´s 2nd in Command tries to stop his escape
- At the same time Balam is destroying Generators (not the dam itself!) to force the RLF to negotiate (or in Gun1 Michigan´s words: Make those bag of shits beg for mercy)
- Arequebus in their infinite wisdom sends 621 to destroy (not capture for whatever reason) the strider*.
-Taking the wall was an HQ decision BUT in theory a good movie if you combine it with the the 2nd and 3rd point. Unfortunately Iguazu shits his pants and goes AWOL the day of the mission. (tbh the biggest mistake Balam made was to have faith in Iguazu to come back / for Volta making it alone)
-When Arquebus takes the wall Balam´s reaction is: Get intel on V.IV Rusty. And with it finding out that Rusty is a double agent for the RLF**
-With the explosion caused by the assault on Watchpoint Delta it´s revealed that Coral "follows a certain directionality". Walter then says he has to hawk this intel to the corps to keep the surveys going Balam already has a mission for you to cross the ocean.
-Once the ocean is crossed Arequebus made their way over too so what is Balam doing?
they send you to steal the data Arquebus (already gathered for them basically).
-After what happened at Watchpoint Delta you are sent to a derilict watchpoint. Destroying a device and (possibly on purpose) triggering another Coral Surge. (which is way closer to the ice field and thus giving another point of directionality)
Then the Iceworm deal. Balam´s "biggest L". Which is legit a sly as fuck move by Balam for the following reasons***:
At this point Balam almost certainly knows and figured out that the Coral has to be underground. So the fleet is useless as you can only use it within the atmosphere and even then we dont know how dangerous the PCA satellite are. Regardless the fleet needs infrastructure which has been destroyed and attacked (by you) multiple times (3x the spaceport and the refueling base has also been destroyed). And finally there are 3 pilots that canonically can take on this fleet: 621, King and Rusty (others like Freud and Michigan probably could too i would guess).
Now after the Iceworm Balam´s biggest strength becomes it´s weakness in a way.
Allmind has a much easier time to hijack and influence Arquebus once down in the depths.
You think if "Kate Markson" tries to inject orders into the comms of Balam where people actually know each others names and trust each other, would work? LOL. compare that to Arquebus where you get sent to literal brainwash torture camp for preserving your own life. The same place where instead of communication they rely solely on surveillance cameras.
And in the end even with Arquebus getting handed the W on a silver platter by Allmind ("A chain of human links is easily broken [unless its Balam then i would be fucked]) Balam still had a shot. Imagine Iguazu didnt abandon his comrades and stood tall with Gun1, Gun6 and G13 (maybe Gun3) they would have cornered Arequebus with no way out and crushed from behind. Maybe even coldcall gets paid to do some work wetwork too.
*Destroying the strider was such a low iq move. Like a drunk idiot in a china shop.
I can not stress enough how dumb this move was by Arquebus.
Imagine the strider on top of the icefield. you just drill straight down.
**Balam can read as well as we do i reckon
***The argument of interpretation wether Arquebues was literally given the fleet or was supposed to deal with it doesnt really matter as the fleet is lowkey useless at the time this was happening. The goal is to confirm formation of coral and Balam put themselves in primeposition to get there first.
A final argument that doesnt fit anywhere: Balam´s Huxley orbit canons are built on the back of stealing RnD from Arquebus. However Arquebues´ drones/orbits are the least developed. VCPL / Allmind / Balam all have moving / orbiting drones while Arquebus´ can only float in place. Balam made it something better out of Arquebus´ work.
There are some other little bits i dont remember rn maybe once i have to argue my point with you guys it comes back to me.
anyways thx for reading allahdat.
Please give me homework
im 2 months in skating. my progress went so far.
week 1-3: first ollie on a cheap board i found basically in the trash
week 4-6: got a proper board and hit me first rolling ollie
week 7-8: nothing / recovering from injury
( https://www.reddit.com/r/NewSkaters/comments/1t823cv/am_i_cooked/ )
end of week 9 (today) riding the board when i go places to get more used to the board and gaining board control. getting practice of getting on off the board and pushing mostly.
hitting riding ollies into 180 turn into nollie in optimal conditions with intent (not consistently but "regularly").
With all pretext out of the way:
Today it was very hot and i went home after like one and a half hours.
i felt like i was worse than yesterday and my ollies (what im working on by far the most) felt like shit.
i dont want to not go skating tomorrow but i feel like im stuck on shitty ollies rn to practice a beginner can and should learn
[Suggestion] Wow. BSG really did check out my survey
am i cooked
for a around 6 weeks i went to skate every weekend.
more or less 2-5 hours a day then.
2 weeks ago my right leg swelled up and was like that for the whole week. it went away so i got back to skating over the weekend.
since weekend last weekend the right foot started to sweel up during the day. its fine in the morning but using the leg just does that ig.
so yesterday i tried skating but i had to abort around 30min cuz of the pain.
