The Sanctuary Wind path

I think it's a bug ?? But whenever I go through the wind path up in Sanctuary Islands (usually bc I confused it with the underground caverns passage lmao), it turns me right back ??

Like I enter the path and when it finishes loading I'm already facing the direction to go out in Sanctuary again ?? I have to go out of my way and do weird maneuvers to stay in the wind paths, and it usually takes a few tries

It's extremely frustrating

Question about WL in Sky Planner

So I've been using it for a while, but I struggle with getting my winged light right. I can't remember every traveling spirit I got so I selected the wing buffs on those I remembered and then on those who last returned during a period where I think I was playing.

So last time before doing Eden I got every single child of light (except 2 in shards) and I had a total of 221, or 223 grand total, which I matched in Sky planner.

Then, after doing Eden, I was left with 101, but after resetting the interactive map on Sky planner by clicking Orbit, it said 113 ?

I don't really understand what went wrong. I suspect it's something about counting some wing buffs only after Orbit, but when I selected them before Eden, it would still add the buffs to my current WL count.

Does anyone know how it works ?

Sorry if my explanations weren't clear enough, I'd be happy to give clarifications if needed

Tried adopting my first moth and it went wrong :(

I met this moth that seemed fun, so I started talking with them and offered to guide them, which they agreed to. They were happy to see new places and get more wings.

But then my game crashed, as it did multiple times today (while I was showing them Peaks !! My favourite place !!). It them immediately started updating (I'm on switch, it does that) and now we're in different versions !! We literally can't olay together until they update theirs !!

At least we're able to communicate via shared memories so they're aware and understanding of the situation, but damn that's just so unlucky :(

What's your go-to spirit memory to relive for a daily ?

I usually go for the Butterfly Charmer bc it's short and easy to reach, but what's yours ? I'm open to suggestions haha

Can you help me make smth tasty with these limited ingredients ?

Update ! I wasn't expecting this many replies, thank you for you input !

So for lunch I made a weird omelett thing with some of the vegetables, it wasn't that good honestly. But for dinner I made fresh pasta and a sauce with onion, garlic, tomato, pesto, cheese and thyme !

I must've done smth wrong with the pasta bc they were VERY solid but apart from that it wasn't bad !

Hi ! So I'm in a mountain cabin with a gas stove, no running water and only a little drinkable water remaining (to boil stuff we use trough water, it's fine). Here's my ingredient list. It's definitely not *nothing* but I'm kind of running out of ideas :

  • 2 tomatoes
  • butter
  • A lot of eggs (we got chickens)
  • A lot of milk
  • apples
  • onions
  • garlic
  • a small zucchini
  • mayonnaise
  • a handful of dry chickpeas
  • a teeny tiny piece of cheese
  • bread (some mediocre baguette + a few stale pieces)
  • apple cider vinegar
  • flour
  • canned tuna
  • powdered soup or smth I'm not sure
  • store-bought pesto (not very good)
  • a few cooking essentials like salt, pepper, oil
  • thyme (technically. I can gather some outside)

My friend will come back tomorrow with some food hopefully, but at least I don't have to feed two people with this.

So to be clear I know how to cook and definitely won't starve, but I'd like some ideas to make smth a little interesting at least ^^

Better to gift season pass or iap ?

So for my birthday my friend (basically the only person I play Sky with) gifted me the best iap they possibly could've, it goes with my theme, my favourite mask, it's awesome. (It's my first iap and they don't own any, so it was a big thing.)

I also want to give them smth cool for their birthday coming up, but I'm met with a dilemma :

They really like the current season, especially the starry night stuff, which as you know is iap.

I know they'd be happy with the season pass, but it doesn't contain any of the starry night stuff. But the starry night cape + scarf is stupidly expensive, 25 bucks. I wish we could buy them separately 😭

The item they gifted me was 14 or 15 bucks, and I'm absolutely not counting but I don't want to make them uncomfortable if I spend way more than them, or worse make them feel like they'd need to match it next time. (Apart from the fact that it's a whole lot of money to spend on a cosmetic)

It's also a time sensitive dilemma : if I get them the pass it should be asap, aka next time we play, but if I end up buying the cape it could be on the day of their bd in a few weeks.

My 3rd option is buying the gift pass and gifting them one, so they can activate it when they want. But the instructions are unclear : the game says it's "for me and 2 friends" but the sky help website says it's 2 gift passes, which makes sense if it's 18 bucks, aka 2 passes. Also, if I'm spending 18 bucks for smth they'd like, is it a really better than spending 25 on smth they'd love ?

Idk, thoughts, advice ? I've never bought anything in sky before

*Weird* questions on my adhd questionnaire

So I participated to a study for students with adhd or symptoms of it. It included a questionnaire where we answered questions on a scale from "never" to "always".

Most of the questions were like "I struggle to meet deadlines" or "I have a hard time waiting for my turn" but once or twice there was something like "I can remember my own name" or "I can count to 3"

Is that to test for types of more serious mental problems or something ? Also we were assured it was confidential so what could they legally do if someone answered no to these questions ?

Possible solution for Sky's economy

So you know how in the early days of Sky there weren't that many cosmetics so getting stuff was less of a hassle, but now despite there being exponentially more the currency system hasn't changed at all, making the grind a truly sisyphean task for newer players ?

I suggest that the time between seasons should be longer. Like a month instead of two weeks. Just time to breathe and save some candles before the daily grind starts again.

I feel like it's the house market situation, where I needed to be there from the beginning and accumulate years of savings or I can't get more than the bare minimum (edit : by that I mean about 2 items I like per event). I'm not even a newer player, I was a Passage moth, but do you know how impossible completing constellations is ?? I would need to give up on any new cosmetics for like a year ! For basic stuff I'll never use !

For example, my Valley constellation is 85% complete. To get just one of the Elder shields, I would still need to pay *checks notes* 210 hearts and 167 ascended, not counting regular candles. For one shield.

So I feel like a month between seasons would give us time to actually save money. It doesn't need to be empty, there would still be events, traveling spirits and traveling groups, which is more than enough

The emotes lvl 3 and 4 are BEHIND the cape ???

How is that fair ?? Why should I spend 70 candles on a cape I don't want just for an emote ??

I'm saving for the traveling group, this is a huge waste of candles but I always get lvl 1 and 3 of emotes T-T

What stupid stuff did you do as a moth ?

I didn't understand the dailies system, so I bought my first ever mask solely with the four candles you can find in the realms T-T it took me the entire season to get like 40

Constant shared spaces annoy me actually

Like I can't even hug grandma anymore ???

I think there should be an option to disable all shared spaces and memories

Is The Return of Doctor Mysterio important in the timeline ?

Cos some movies/Christmas specials are as important as normal episodes, and others do not change anything and are never referenced ever again. So which is it ?

(no spoilers past S9 modern era plz)

It's really hard to deal with academic failure as a former "gifted" kid

So I'm really struggling with school (university) right now, not necessarily because it's hard, but because I find it immensely difficult to prepare anything in advance, including studying. Sometimes, even the day before the exam, I still can't get myself to *start" studying, it's really bad. (And look at me, I have an exam in 3 hours, I barely studied and I'm on reddit asking for help instead)

I recently got a neuropsychiatric exam, so hopefully the results in july will help guide my journey (even though I'm pretty much already diagnosed with anxiety and some kind of attention disorder)

But the thing is, I was always a "smart" kid. I jumped a class, I had great grades up until high school, and even then, I could get medium grades while barely studying, and the subjects I was really good at (the ones I was interested in) would compensate for the ones I dramatically failed (cough like anything with math)

But it's so hard to go from the "gifted" child to the young adult who fails half her exams because, what, she "can't get herself to study" ?? I know what causes it, I know why it happens and how my head works, I know it's not something to 100% blame on myself, but it's hard to accept nonetheless.

Especially now that I'm in uni, the vast majority of my classes actually interest me, but I still can't bring myself to work. It isn't rare for me to study something at the last possible minute and think "damn, I actually find that interesting, I would've enjoyed studying that in detail in the long term and it's a shame I have to cram this last minute"

The only way I've managed to study something *not* last minute (and that's relative, I'm talking a few days before) is if someone is actively listening to me explaining the subject to them. I've got a mentor in an ADHD program/study who I can see once a week for an hour, so she helped me a bit, but neither she nor my therapist can help me once I'm alone.

What do you tell yourself ? Did it get better for you ? I'm on Concerta and it helps with some other stuff but not really with executive dysfunction, and we tried Sertraline for my anxiety but it made things worse so I'm gradually getting off it now. I don't think there's a magic medication that could fix anything, though (even though a girl can dream !)

Genuinely what else is there to discover in Lakebed Cave

EDIT : I WAS THOUGHT THE LAKEBED CAVE WAS THE QUANTUM CAVE. THEY'RE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS MB

Apologies for the awful pic, but it was hard to take one where you couldn't see my reflection.

So I've discovered every entry except for the Ash Twin Project, but I've had this little orange star in Lakebed Cave for really long and it's driving me crazy. It's not a huge cave, literally what else is there to find T-T

(I've also got one in the Hanging City but I haven't given up on that one yet)

u/Chocobook_ — 3 months ago

Kinda stuck

I'm at that point where I've explored most things and mostly got the Sun Station left. I suspect the teleport is in the sun tower on the Ash Twin, but I don't even know if it's possible to access. Is it, or should I search somewhere else ?

I've been returning to the same spots again and again and I'd like to advance.

[Also I apparently have things left to explore in the Sunless City, the Hanging City and the Lakebed cave, although I don't know if I've still got significant stuff to discover there. The entries for the Subsurface Energy Readings, the Launch Module and the Ash Twin Project still don't have images)

Hints okay as long as they don't directly point me in a direction

EDIT : Also, I've been playing on and off for a very extended period of time so I definitely forgot about some stuff I did (or did not) do T-T

EDIT 2 : figured out how to add the image ! For future reference it doesn't work on mobile

Today I went to do the quest and my sky kid was forced to walk backwards ?? It only happened in the carnival zone, nowhere else, but it was very frustrating.

Not counting that the awful spelling mistake in the french translation is in this quest too

My psychiatrist gave it to me for anxiety (I already had anxiety issues but my adhd meds - Concerta/methylphenidate - were making it worse) but I think it's having the opposite effect ? I feel even more anxious and sometimes even kinda depressed (mostly apathy/disinterest, like I don't have dark thoughts or anything).

It is in the side effects list so I'm not blown away. However I wanted to know if someone experienced it getting worse before getting better. I did about a month of Sertralin and I feel like it either got progressively worse or started getting bad around the 1-month mark, I'm not sure. We decided to do 2 months even if I didn't notice anything during the first (at my last appointment I hadn't realized it had a bad effect instead of none).

Do you think it can get better or should I ask to stop before it fucks me up even more
