How serious is carbon dioxide poisoning?

I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this article I read last month. Can someone please explain to me why this isn’t as bad as it sounds? I’m hopeful that my ignorance of science is making me hysterical.

Scientists detect a surprising shift in human blood as atmospheric CO2 rises

Hey guys, I hope it’s okay to ask about this…

I’m not of a scientist, but when I saw this article a couple of weeks ago I thought it sounded bad. Like, really bad. I have kids, so I worry about what the air will be like in 50 years.

Anyway, how bad is this news?
