[India] Someone is using my email and old address to spam fake e-commerce orders. How to stop?

Hi everyone,I suspect someone is using my public email and old home address to spam me with fake e-commerce orders to harass my family. Over the last two days, I have received automated order confirmations from Indian e-commerce sites (like Dermatouch and Astrotalk). Some are marked as Cash on Delivery (COD) to my old address.Today, I also received a failed transaction alert from the PayU gateway showing an unsuccessful UPI debit attempt. He is clearly trying to place fake orders to cause panic. My notifications are turned off, but I want to protect my elderly mother who lives alone at that address from any delivery disruptions or random delivery boys knocking on her door.

Are there any permanent ways to block someone from using your email address on public websites?Thank you for any advice.🙏🏻

EI Sickness Note Advice

Hi everyone,

I am in a stressful situation and need some advice before my upcoming appointment. I recently had to leave my job because my husband received a corporate relocation to a different region across the province. We had to move immediately to keep our family household together, which means I had to resign from my position.

Before leaving, my previous manager set up a personal recommendation for me to be hired at the local branch in our new town. As soon as we arrived, I went in to see the manager here. Right around the time of the move, I also found out I am pregnant (I am currently at 6 weeks). Because the job involves a lot of physical work, I chose to be 100% upfront and honest with the local manager about my pregnancy and my upcoming prenatal appointment schedule.

The manager was very kind to my face and said he would stay in touch, but it has now been a full week and I haven't heard back from his side yet. I am feeling very anxious because our household cannot run smoothly on just my husband's income alone, and I need to figure out our financial safety net.

I have my first official prenatal clinic appointment coming up later this month. I want to get a sickness note from the doctor so that I can safely rest and support my household. My questions are:

Does the doctor usually just give you the medical note for EI upon asking, or do they check for specific physical symptoms before signing it?

Do they need to write down detailed reasons on the note, or is it enough for them to state that I am unable to work due to pregnancy-related reasons?

I want to make sure I am fully prepared for my appointment so I can get this started without any delays.

Thank you so much for any advice!

Title: Suddenly in Tofino/Ucluelet tonight and desperately looking for a room (or anywhere nearby) – Any ideas?

Hi everyone, I know it's the absolute peak of the August summer rush and finding same-day accommodation here is next to impossible. My husband and I suddenly had a last-minute opportunity to drive out here today, and we would absolutely love to find a place to stay tonight.Everything is showing completely sold out online, even the small motels in Port Alberni and nearby areas. We are open to absolutely anything—a hotel, a basic roadside motel, a cabin, or even a small guest suite. If anyone knows of a hidden spot, a last-minute cancellation that hasn't updated online yet, or a local guest room available, please let me know. Any leads or phone numbers would be massively appreciated. Thank you so much!

New to Duncan and expecting my first baby! Looking for local clinic and community recommendations

Hi everyone! I just moved to Duncan from out of town and recently found out I am pregnant with my first baby. Since I am completely new to the area, I’m a bit overwhelmed and have no idea how the prenatal healthcare layout works here. Are there any local moms or moms-to-be who can share their experiences? I would love to know which local maternity groups, clinics, or programs you recommend connecting with for routine prenatal care from day one. Thank you so much for helping a new resident out!🙏🏻♥️

Super Visa vs. Tourist Visa to bring my mom from India for my delivery? (High Income, Low Savings)

Hi everyone. I just confirmed my first pregnancy (due late March 2027) and I am feeling very anxious and tense about balancing everything. We are relocating within BC this week because my husband got an internal transfer with his company. Because of this move, I had to leave my current job, but I am transferring my hours and will be getting a job at the exact same company layout at our new location. However, with my early pregnancy symptoms, I honestly do not know how long I will physically be able to work there before needing to rest, which is adding to my stress.

We want to bring my mom over from India to absolutely ensure she is here by early March 2027 to offer emotional comfort and guidance during my transition into motherhood . Our current situation is tight on liquid cash because of our immediate moving expenses, so we are living paycheck to paycheck this month.

My husband just started a permanent, stable union position making $68,000/year, so our household income easily clears the Canadian LICO cutoff for a Super Visa. However, because we don't have a large Canadian bank balance right now, my husband thinks a standard Visitor Visa has higher approval chances because my parents have a very strong profile in India.

Given our high income/low liquid savings layout in Canada, my employment transition, and my parents' asset ties in India, which visa route should we apply for this fall to guarantee she is here for my delivery?
