The most vivid paranormal experience in my life.

Hello, I wanted to chronicle somewhere on the internet the most vivid paranormal experience I've had in my life. Not looking for a debunking or explanation, just sharing.

I've always believed in the paranormal, especially ghosts. Belief is probably not the best word, as I have seen ghosts. My sisters as well. Most of them are the same entities, so it's more that I just know. The most chilling experience was a shared experience.

If you've never been to the UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan), it can be kind of a weird place. It is a piece of land that juts into the heart of Lake Superior and there are several areas that are very old. My senses - my otherworldly senses - are typically much heightened in this region automatically. My family and I (at the time, it was my mom, two sisters and myself) were visiting a graveyard off the beaten path.

We like to visit graveyards. We find them to be peaceful and for the most part, nice places of rest. This was not like that. There was a particular grave with one of those pictures of the deceased. It looked like a college aged kid who had died the year before. I came across the grave first. My right ankle immediately gave me a sharp pain to the point where I collapsed onto my knees. For context, I had nearly broken that ankle a few years before and that part of my body has always been relatively weak.

My cry of pain drew the attention of my mom. She came over and was struck with a migraine headache, of which she suffers infrequently. She had to sit down and she wandered away a bit from the grave. I joined her as I was limping. I told my sisters not to approach the grave. I had an incredibly bad feeling.

My sisters are twins, but the youngest of them approached the grave and got a wave of nausea that was incredibly intense - which, again, for context is something that is a weakness in her life. She suffered from waves of nausea for various reasons throughout her life and this was a particularly bad one. We decided enough was enough at this point and drove away. A few hours later, we felt relatively normal.

About 7 or 8 years later, I returned to the site as an adult and felt nothing. Whatever it was had likely moved on.

My thoughts after a week with the GW-BX5600-1A1

I have owned the GW-5000U and currently also own a GMWB5000D-1C.

I gave in and bought the 5600-1A1 from Japan because I wanted a MIP but I didn't want to pay the full metal price tag/full metal is not a great daily wear for me. I originally bought a 5000U based on the sub's obsession with it and while it was comfy, I didn't love the display and the screw back/solid steel case really didn't do much for me.

The BX5600 is absolutely wonderful. The negative MIP is fantastic. I have had no issues reading it in virtually any light. There are essentially no issues with viewing angles. I am so glad that the negative MIP exists because now it feels like people can actually choose between positive and negative displays not for readability but for the aesthetic they like more. Readability is no longer an issue between the two. You can choose whichever you like - positive or negative!

(You could MAYBE argue the positive is like, 1% more readable, but when MIP is this nice, what's the point? I do not own a positive MIP, just my observation from internet videos)

It is comfy. The bio-based resin is nice. It is not as supple as the 5000U but on the daily, I don't even notice the watch on, which to me is a big thing. The backlight is also just fine. It's not incredibly bright but it's more than enough to check the time in the dark. I really enjoy being able to swap the fonts and have multiple watch faces to choose from.

Ultimately, this is going to my daily beater for years to come, I hope! At this point, I really wish I would've gotten a GMWBZ for my "fancy" wear watch instead of the 5000D as I'm in love with the MIP screen. So, I may be selling my 5000D in the future. ;)

My beloved Soltera 7 was stolen last fall, and my coworkers made a GFM for me to get a new bike. Hello Aventure 3!

Long story short, a man stole my bike out of my garage while I was working on the yard. I chased him down in my car. When I caught up with him, he pulled a gun and threatened to shoot me if I didn't back off. I did, filed a police report, and figured it was a lost cause (spoiler: it was).

I was devastated as I love biking and it means a lot to me - I had saved up for my Soltera 7 and it was my first bike in 20 years. It was my reward for weight loss and to help me continue that. A group of coworkers knew how much it meant to me and made a GFM and I was able to "upgrade" to an Aventure 3. I love it.

Purchased for $40 at a local place a couple of years ago. Cleaned it up a bit, got Windows XP SP2 installed along with the IBM bloatware that originally came with it. I use it to tinker on a computer from a more civilized age and occasionally gaming. Curious what else I could do with it though. Thoughts?

I was around 16 when it came out, so I'm sure I have some Vista-coated goggles here. Sure, it wasn't the best OS, but something about it always struck me as somewhat magical. I really enjoyed Aero Glass - I remember seeing that and thinking this truly felt "next-gen" as far as computers went. I also really enjoyed the new chimes/notifications. They felt very fun and new. I also really enjoyed things like the Media Player/Center and the usage of widgets, which I felt were under-utilized in later Windows releases.

UAC was...not good, though. That's for sure.

Thoughts?

Some pics of the hat I got for 400 G-Shock points from CASIO US, plus my current wear of the day: GMWB5000D-1C for G-Shock pic tax.

The hat itself is a New Era 9FIFTY Snapback. Fits comfortably, especially after putting a little curve in the brim.
