The most vivid paranormal experience in my life.
Hello, I wanted to chronicle somewhere on the internet the most vivid paranormal experience I've had in my life. Not looking for a debunking or explanation, just sharing.
I've always believed in the paranormal, especially ghosts. Belief is probably not the best word, as I have seen ghosts. My sisters as well. Most of them are the same entities, so it's more that I just know. The most chilling experience was a shared experience.
If you've never been to the UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan), it can be kind of a weird place. It is a piece of land that juts into the heart of Lake Superior and there are several areas that are very old. My senses - my otherworldly senses - are typically much heightened in this region automatically. My family and I (at the time, it was my mom, two sisters and myself) were visiting a graveyard off the beaten path.
We like to visit graveyards. We find them to be peaceful and for the most part, nice places of rest. This was not like that. There was a particular grave with one of those pictures of the deceased. It looked like a college aged kid who had died the year before. I came across the grave first. My right ankle immediately gave me a sharp pain to the point where I collapsed onto my knees. For context, I had nearly broken that ankle a few years before and that part of my body has always been relatively weak.
My cry of pain drew the attention of my mom. She came over and was struck with a migraine headache, of which she suffers infrequently. She had to sit down and she wandered away a bit from the grave. I joined her as I was limping. I told my sisters not to approach the grave. I had an incredibly bad feeling.
My sisters are twins, but the youngest of them approached the grave and got a wave of nausea that was incredibly intense - which, again, for context is something that is a weakness in her life. She suffered from waves of nausea for various reasons throughout her life and this was a particularly bad one. We decided enough was enough at this point and drove away. A few hours later, we felt relatively normal.
About 7 or 8 years later, I returned to the site as an adult and felt nothing. Whatever it was had likely moved on.
Thanks for reading.
