For those of you who ride and live in the downtown area:

• How safe is street parking realistically?
• Can you get away with just a cover + disc brake lock + GPS tracker, or is that asking for trouble?
• Have you had any theft attempts or issues?

If you don’t park on the street:

• Are there any garages or private lots you recommend that aren’t super public (like Newport Mall)?
• Any buildings or smaller garages that are more secure / low-traffic?

Just trying to figure out if I should risk street parking or bite the bullet and pay for something more secure.

Hey everyone,

I just passed my MSF course and I’m looking to buy my first bike, a Ninja 500 ABS.

The main issue is I don’t really have anyone experienced with motorcycles who can come with me to inspect a bike before I buy it. I don’t want to get burned by missing something important mechanically.

For someone in my situation, what’s the best way to go about this?

I’m located in NJ if that matters.

Any advice is appreciated , thanks.

For those of you who have installed the PRP sear (not the spring kit):

• How did it change the trigger break compared to OEM?
• Does it actually make it feel cleaner/crisper?
• Any noticeable difference in creep from wall to break?
• Did it affect trigger pull weight at all?

Trying to decide if it’s worth it or if I should just stick with OEM trigger setup for now.
