I have a full bottle of Herod that’s “newer” and post reform if you believe that sort of thing. This is my bedtime scent and I LOVE it. Incredibly comforting and helps me relax but it tends to last as long as a mouse fart.

Anyone aware of anything with vanilla/tobacco/cinnamon/boozy accords but stronger and longer lasting? Do not care for tobacco vanille btw.

I’ve also looked around for “pre-reform” Herod and had zero success.

I live in one of the largest metro areas in the US but we only have 2 ADs in my city. Im about to start buying some non rolex watches for myself and my wife and I’m trying to figure, for the purpose of maximizing dollars spent on non rolex to rolex allocation returns, which AD to spend my money with.

Let me preface by saying

1. I know there’s no list
2. I know this question can’t REALLY be answered effectively
3. I know the “best” method is to buy jewelry and have a friendly relationship with an SA
4. I know this glazing SA nonsense is ridiculous but I’m just trying to be smart about spending my money.

BUT.

I’m buying this stuff anyways (Tudor, Cartier, JLC) and I want to buy new (good bad or indifferent) so I figure I might a well try my best to maximize ancillary returns on dollars spent

AD #1 large retailer multiple locations across multiple states. Has two locations in my area, one more convenient to me than the other

AD#2 Locally owned and operated. They also operate a Patek store. Don’t exist outside of my metro area.

I’ve been to both multiple times and expressed interested in several, but the same, pieces at both stores.

If I can, I like to support local businesses, however the larger retailers location is slightly more convenient for me. That being said how often is one supposed to be going in to these stores anyway. I do have an insanely small spend a the larger retailer already (2.5k, not sure how relevant)

IN THEORY does it matter which one of these I go to or is it all spend money and good luck anyways? Find the SA I vibe with the most and hope for the best?

*edit* since people are asking, assuming it’s not against the rules I’m talking about Atlanta. Two ADs are Mayors and Brown and Co.

I’ve expressed interest at both locations for a OP 41 in lavender (this is the primary watch I’m interested in) and a skydweller in blue. However, realistically if I can secure the Lavender OP , when ready I’ll be looking to acquire a white dial two tone skydweller in jubilee, which I understand should be manageable.
