TW: sensorimotor OCD

Hey folks I had a panic attack few weeks ago I developed Existential OCD. I researched it on YouTube and suddenly a „Hyperfocus on breathing OCD“ popped up in the recommendations. I’ve had this in my childhood and forgot about it. Even though I didn’t click on it and immediately closed the app this retraumatized me and I am stuck in this OCD ever since. This was 2 months ago. It cured my existential ocd because all I can think about it is this now. This is a living nightmare.

I tried everything from acceptance over breathing techniques etc. Sometimes I forget about it for a few seconds or when I am lucky for a few minutes. I really don’t know what to do anymore this shit makes me want to die and consumes all of my happiness and life.

For clarification: I am not scared of becoming not enough oxygen or that I don’t breath automatically it’s like a very strong intrusive thought that pops up every time.
I am on 30mg of mirtazapine right now and it barely helps for intrusive thoughts and loops. Sleep, Anxiety and depression became a lot better.

First time mirtazapine any tips?

So I’ve been in a state of severe anxiety and severe depression and bedridden for almost 3 months. I have AuDHD, insomnia, OCD, anxiety, panic disorder, GAD, social anxiety, severe depression.

I tried Zoloft for 4 weeks it worsened my anxiety and depression. It was a nightmare.

My psychiatrist prescribed me 15mg of mirtazapine and I should increase after 7 days 30mg.

Today will be the first day of taking 15mg before bed. Do you have any recommendations?
