Anyone else find therapy comically useless?

I like having deep conversations. I get passionate about these conversations. I don’t have depression. I’m just moody and brood a lot. My mom has been persuading me for years to go to therapy.

I go to therapy. I have an open mind. I’ve been to a few therapists, I’ve gone to multiple sessions, I’ve been as honest and vulnerable as possible.

It’s NOT the therapists, for the most part, they’ve all been great. The techniques of contemplative behavior therapy can totally work for example, but it’s also something I’ve cross-examined multiple times in simple online PDFs before even attending in-person therapy. Like, I understand this stuff.

I can totally see how meetings with a therapist can be beneficial for certain people, but I don’t think it works for me. I can read a book or google advice that’s more in depth and unique to my situation than talking to a stranger. I feel like a therapist is only there so you can pay them $100+ a session to hold you accountable every visit.

Anyone else give someone they are dating or their significant other the “Shpongle Test?” Personally, if they aren’t into Shpongle, I basically know it isn’t going to work.

The fact that John Williams’s Voldemort theme accompanies Ralph Fiennes’s portrayal on Escape from Gringotts is the only time this happens in HP media.

It was a very specific moment of joy when I rode the ride for the first time. Honestly, my favorite aspect of the ride as both a Williams and HP fan.💀

007 Rave?

I’m a DJ and my favorite genre of music is spy music. Yes, spy music. Particularly much from the 007 franchise. John Barry is my favorite composer and I hold David Arnold and others in high regard as well.

For you Bond music fans, if you found out a rave was happening centered around remixed 007 tunes, would you be down?

I’m a bit of a Bond music scholar, so there’d be a ton of deep cuts as well.

Full circle moment. Getting the cast to sign my poster. Fun interactions when they found out my name is Fox.

Weird question- Anyone else experience contemplating and evaluating a ritual days/weeks in advance, then finding the result comes without even going through with the ritual?
