Loud Peaks on certain words with MV7+ XLR

So, I recently got a Shure MV7+ mic connected to a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen with a FetHead and have noticed that on some words, the peak is unbelievably high.

Say my average peak is -10db in regular speech. But then, for some reason, words like "Unity" or "while" peak all the way at -6db to even -4db.

I'm sat around 8 or so inches from the windscreen with the mic 45 degrees to the left. It does the same thing even if I put a pop filter in front of it.

Any idea what the issue could be?

Muffled/Dampened Audio when Recording Vocals

So I'm using the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen with a FetHead connected to my Shure MV7+ with an XLR cable. And for whatever reason, it is impossible to record a vocal that does not sound really dimmed or dampened on export.

No matter where I speak into the mic and no matter how high the gain is, it's pretty much the same story. Except the louder it is, the more the audio sounds blown out.

Does anybody know what could be causing this to happen, and a potential fix?

Gain is loud but LUFs are low

So I make voice-over narration-style content on YouTube. And recently, I swapped from the Shure MV7+ USB mode to using its XLR with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen and a FetHead for the extra gain.

The target for YouTube is around -14 LUF's. Previously, with the USB function, I could get to, for example, -5 dB Peak with LUFs being at around -8 or so. But now, even with my gain peaking at the same level, the LUF's average is -22 to -25.

This is really frustrating because it means that I either have to choose between a quiet voice-over or turn up the volume in post, causing it to sound really blown out to reach the target LUFs.

Does anybody know what could be causing this and how to resolve it?

XLR Microphone Static/Interference Issue

So I have a Shure MV7+ connected through an XLR cable to my Focusrite Scarlett Solo 4th Gen with a FetHead. On Windows, I have it set as 1 channel 24 bit 48000 Hz, and I occasionally get this strange interference sound when talking into the mic. Any thoughts on what could be causing it?

This was recorded on Audacity.
