Jeep Cherokee 2014 transmission problems

I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee that is starting to have transmission issues. Basically I’m getting a transmission indicator light come on and I had the codes run at the dealership. They didn’t really give me a lot of information on it but they reset the codes and they didn’t come back on and the car was running fine, which it does 99% of the time. But he concluded and I quote “possible transmission failure, causing range sensor faults.”

The codes are P0706, P1727, U0402

There were a couple of times where the indicator light come on and it would not shift into gear. I turned the car off waited a little while started it up again and the fault goes away.

Any thoughts?

I’m actually looking at selling the car so I wanna try to figure out what’s going on before I do that because I’m probably sell it to a family or friend

Singing the praises of the V6

I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee limited with the V6 engine. I have 185,000 miles on it so far the only major issues I’ve had is I had to replace a radiator and the oil cooler. Each of those repairs cost me close to $1000 probably I had to spend another thousand repairs here there outside of maintenance but that’s a fantastic engine. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t get the six cylinder over the four.

So this is a rant about four-cylinder engines. They’ve come along way no doubt I’ve been in plenty rental cars or other peoples cars where a four-cylinder engine is plenty of power and all you really need for a midsize or small savanna or even a full-size sedan. I’m not sure if these cars had turbo charges on them or not. You can’t get the Jeep Cherokee with the V6 anymore.

So the main point of this rant is to lament what is really the relegation of the V6 engine to a rarity. And even worse, push turbo charged four-cylinder engines, which no matter how good are sophisticated they are don’t perform as good as a V6. So what’s the point? Just offer a V6 engine? They’re not much more expensive than a turbo charged for cylinder engine

Sadly, one of the main drivers of these turbo charged four-cylinder engines is gas mileage. Mind you they don’t really get that much better gas mileage compared to a six cylinder. Maybe a couple of miles per gallon better. So is it really worth a trade-off a more complicated engine that won’t last as long and needs more maintenance?

The answer is no. But part of the equation is these car manufacturers have to comply with idiotic fleet mileage requirements. And even though a couple of miles per gallon is not worth it at all to the driving public. It’s just a price we have to pay to comply with these regulations

If anybody has any other explanation for this I’m listening. Not trying to start anything here but it just really pisses me off that it’s virtually impossible to get a V6 anymore in a midsize or even full-size SUV. The only one that I’m aware of is the Dodge Durango and the Honda pilot. The Toyota Highlander has a four-cylinder turbo charged engine. That’s a pretty big SUV.

Anyway, let the fur fly

Fitbit not tracking bike miles

I saw a thread on this like two years ago. I don’t know what if anything has gone down since then. This was before and after it went over to Google Health is anybody else having the same issue? Is there a setting I need to use

By the way, if anybody there wants to help me out with karma points, so give me a thumbs up on this. I’m trying to post on some other sites of a member of just basic dine stuff and it says I don’t have enough karma. ridiculous
