Fellow Legion owners… came across these two recent articles and honestly got pretty excited as a Legion Pro 7i owner myself... this might finally be the answer to the ridiculous brick situation 😅!!

For those of us carrying around the Gen 9 / Gen 10 machines with the massive 300W (and now even 400W on some configs) adapters, the charger itself is half the backpack weight at this point.

Looks like two interesting things are happening:

• Honor has teased a surprisingly compact 360W GaN charger that apparently includes Lenovo Legion slim-tip compatibility out of the box. (Notebookcheck)

• Lenovo themselves are also preparing a much more compact official 300W Legion charger. (Notebookcheck)

What caught my attention is that these are not the usual “USB-C can kinda sustain gaming” compromises. These are actual high wattage replacements meant for full-fat gaming laptops.

If these things turn out to be reliable and thermally stable, this could genuinely make traveling with the Legion Pro series far less painful.

My stock brick feels like carrying a small UPS 😭.

I know SlimQ makes an alternative version but these seem like the actual worthy replacements - with proper support for the high power spikes these machines / GPUs generate.

The Honor one especially sounds interesting because:

• 360W GaN
• reportedly around ~400g-ish
• slim profile
• includes Legion connector support

Meanwhile Lenovo finally acknowledging that gamers don’t want to carry a paving stone in their backpacks is also nice to see.

I’m really hoping:

1. these become globally available (like in India as well... & with warranty!)
2. temperatures remain under control
3. no weird throttling / discharge while gaming
4. long-term reliability is decent

Because honestly, the Legion laptops themselves are already becoming more portable than their chargers.
