MJ was a marketing genius for his era

I don't think anyone can think of any another artist who's as recognizable as him... He even had a branding through his silhouette : one glove, a tilted fedora, curls, loafers, moonwalk, toe stand, lean... Even before Thriller came out he understood he had to stay rare and "mysterious". He barely gave interviews or explained himself... He built so much anticipation around himself and his projects.

And none of this is random, he wanted to be a trend setter, do stuff that had never been done before, create distinctiveness even when his own family called it ridiculous... Even today in modern marketing, the biggest companies operate with hype cycles, drops, and audience anticipation because they know overexposure kills impact... Like Prince for example, unless Michael was way heavier on the branding

how big is your ego when it comes to achievements?

1/10: I stay humble and don’t let my achievements define me.

5/10: I feel proud of my wins but still question if I’m doing enough.

10/10: I see my achievements as proof that I’m exceptional and I push to prove i'm the best again and again.

What number and why?

What do you guys think of the Al Capone song?

This is definitely one of my favorite, could've been the prelude of Smooth Criminal
