best advice for tourgo (chem 211)?

taking orgo 1 this semester with tour for lecture, o'leary for discussion. best advice for pre-meds who are running the gauntlet with this class? i was kinda shit at gen chem (b+ in 121, c+ in 122 bc i was depressed af) because i suck at math and its a shit ton of math (imo) but i know gen chem and orgo are two separate beasts. literally any advice (other than drop out) would be helpful !!!

how long do i wait before following up with an artist after a couple days of not hearing back?

i’m 19 and about to get my first tattoo! i sent an inquiry to an AMAZING artist whose work i’ve admired for a while. i’ve thought about the tattoo for over a year, so i know exactly how i want it and that i want her to do it. she got back to me super fast, like 24-48 hours. we discussed booking and budget, and she was always quick to respond, like within a day or so of me emailing. i sent her an email on the 20th with a second reference of my arm (the inquiry form requires a reference picture of the area) with a measuring tape next to it, so we could get an accurate idea of size. i told her i wanted to go ahead and book for mid august, and ive been waiting a couple days for a response back. she’s soooo incredibly talented and im super excited to get the tattoo, but she hasn’t responded since the 20th and i don’t know when i should follow up so i can pay the deposit and secure my appointment. i understand she’s probably super busy, but i thought i would consult this subreddit about when the best time to follow up would be! i just don’t want to wait too long to officially book because i don’t want to lose my potential appointment, but i also don’t want to double email her and seem demanding/overwhelming. if an artist hasn’t gotten back to you in a few days, what’s an appropriate time window to wait before a follow up?

finished freshman year with a 3.35, any study tips?

I go to Rice and finished my fall semester with a 3.4, and then just finished up spring with a 3.35 because I got a C in Calc 2 and a C+ in Gen Chem 2 unfortunately. I've had a lot of stuff going on, including getting started on ADHD meds and going no-contact with my dad which made school really hard. I got all A's besides those two classes this semester, but they dragged down my GPA really bad and I'm nervous. I'm taking Orgo 1 and Physics 1 in the Fall, and I want to pre-study them and work on study techniques this summer. I'm starting research this summer as well, so I'll start racking up those hours. Any advice on how to go forward? I know this isn't the end of the world and plenty of pre-meds get C's and even D's, but it still really sucks you know? Anyone have any good study techniques for the future that I can employ, as I learn to study in a new way + with ADHD? I know that I can get a 3.7 by the time I apply, maybe even a 3.8 if I work really hard. I want to go to a T50 med school, and I know a lot of factors play into that other than GPA, but I just want some advice for this specific part of my application so I can get it in a good spot :) Any advice helps, I just want to focus on how to improve so I can be less stressed and feel like I'm in a better spot when fall comes around!! :D
